this doesn't help me much as I have got 5 or 6 different responses ...lol

I think I might go with the netgear though

In my opinion, Linksys is a heck of a lot better quality than netgear.

When we'd do big networking projects at companies, people always asked what they should get for home. Our engineers always told them to get a Linksys.

~ Catherine

yeah my brother just informed me that I should steer clear of netgear..lol

I guess I will see if they have the Linksys at Frys ($70), if not I will order it from amazon ($50).. or maybe I will just order it from Amazon, I would save 20 bucks, just might take a week or so before we get it...

i couldn't find it in store anywhere else...

sorry I am talking to myself

the G model will probably be best for you, given you're in an apartment. be sure to lock it down so no one else can use it.

we do live in a 2 level apartment.. do you think the G will still be ok? like would we still get connectivity if we were upstairs with the laptop?

N is more usefull if theres a lot of wires (or say where I live...Limestone..its kills the signal) If yours doesnt have tons of stuff in the floors or concrete floors you may be ok with a G, an N would give you some bigger range.

so at my hubby's work they have switched over to a voice automated system yesterday and this system is called Jennifer.. so all day my hubby has to say " Jennifer this" or "Jennifer that"

why on earth would they have picked a long name like that.. why not Jen or something?

the way it was explained to me, g router is good for home/apartment, n router if you are going hundreds of feet (like at a business). we got the n router because it's in the works to share the connection with the neighbor so they can get off dialup.

I have used Newegg numerous times, and they rock!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Building Shaped Like Coffee Pot

Lexington, Virginia

Between Lexington and Buena Vista, a building that almost looks like a coffee pot sits on a the right side of a curving grade. The two-story corrugated metal structure qualifies as coffee-related by virtue of its roundness and the attached spout and handle.

Yay! So I actually got some decent sleep last night, fell asleep on the couch @ 7 pm! Sauntered off to my bedroom about 9! No Nyquil needed! I might go see The Proposal tonight, be nice if they had more than 2 evening showtimes for opening night!

I saw the video on MSN.ca this morning it was really cute, its called Melodius McDonalds Order, they were actually quite good!

Good Morning everyone,

The Proposal looks funny, but I might get mad watching it seeing how they make immigration look so easy, and fake too! I think I want to see it anway, I like romantic comedies.

I like romantic comedies too - and really I have been looking for fluff movies lately - I am tired of dramas.

Two I have recently watched which are happy movies are New in Town and Definately Maybe.

Well, we are off today to Columbus, Georgia for a co-worker's of Joe's wedding. Quite coincidentally, it is also our 5th wedding anniversary so we will be celebrating that too! Nice to have someone else throw us the party, hehehe! We've booked a nice hotel and will just make a weekend of it:-). Tomorrow we will also be touring Fort Benning where Joe was first stationed when he came to Georgia - I've never been so it will be interesting.

Anyway, just a quick check in before we head off about noon (Joe had a business meeting phone call this morning or we would already be on our way). See you guys Sunday!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
