I have the Linksys Wireless-G.... recommended (and bought) by the telecom guys where I worked.

If you guys were writing a procedure manual for your office (or as I like to call it the "what happens if E gets hit by a bus" manual).. what stuff would you make sure was in there?... I know it's specific to every individual office but just wanted to pick brains before I submit this puppy!!

depends what you do. lol

my brain is hurting tying to figure out which wireless router to get for our laptop that is arriving today..

I'm a sucker for a middle of the line price wireless ANYTHING. If you get a really cheap one, it probably won't do a good job. I have this one:

And E- Thats REALLY strange!

does it work good? like is it pretty fast?

yeah that is the one my brother suggested.. I could get it on amazon for 50 bucks with free shipping but I don't think my hubby would want to wait to get it :P

What you do..steps on how to do it...important contacts for whatever purposes...

My BIL has that Cisco one and it times out on him all the time. That is why he told us to buy the one I bought at bestbuy. It's been awesome so far and very fast.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Yep. Especially on the stuff you don't want them to screw up and you have to redo when you return.

we have 1 similar to that it it works fine! Both of our laptops and our TIVO use it. No problems at all!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I don't know if it's the weather or what... but I'm so lethargic today, I laid on the couch for a few minutes to read the local paper and passed out for over an hour.... I never do that! I just feel weak, tired, and crappy. It could be a combo of boredom and bad weather. Or perhaps I'm getting sick :( I have to muster up the energy to go put out the garbage and recycling....

this doesn't help me much as I have got 5 or 6 different responses ...lol

I think I might go with the netgear though

In my opinion, Linksys is a heck of a lot better quality than netgear.

When we'd do big networking projects at companies, people always asked what they should get for home. Our engineers always told them to get a Linksys.

yeah my brother just informed me that I should steer clear of netgear..lol

I guess I will see if they have the Linksys at Frys ($70), if not I will order it from amazon ($50).. or maybe I will just order it from Amazon, I would save 20 bucks, just might take a week or so before we get it...

i couldn't find it in store anywhere else...

sorry I am talking to myself

the G model will probably be best for you, given you're in an apartment. be sure to lock it down so no one else can use it.
