I'm doing my driver's test tomorrow...in my husband's beast of a car. I drive a Hyundai Accent. He has a Supercharged Monte Carlo sport something-or-other. The thing is so much longer than I'm used to so parallel parking it is awful. I'm going to practice tonight. I'm an obsessive worrier.

I'm probably a total nutcase but yesterday I went down to the licensing place and watched people do the maneuvering part of the test. A bit later I discretely followed one of the testers to see what roads they went down.

 good luck! Silly question, but why not take your car if you're more comfortable in it? I hate parallel parking too.

Georgia requires that the driving test be done is a car registered in Georgia. The tag office won't let you register a car in Georgia until you have a Georgia driver's license.

Haha...I had to laugh about the the sneaky following of people who were taking the test...I wish I had thought of that!

I took my test last week, and failed...(driving too slow, but that's another story,) but one thing I thought you might want to look into before you do your test tomorrow is make sure you know where all the gadgets are on the car! He had me point out where the emergency brake was, the front and rear de-foggers, the hazard signal, and something else I can't remember. It caught me off guard since I wasn't driving my own vehicle, so you might want to find them ahead of time as well if you're taking your hubby's monster of a car.

Good morning everyone! I know I was complaining about the rain last week and now we have sunshine, but it's 96 out there for the next few days and HUMID! :( Glad I'm leaving in the morning for the cooler north. Well, I can only hope it's cooler. There is no a/c, so it better be! Well, I can always jump in the lake when it gets too hot anyway. Enjoy your day, and your next 10 days! I'm outta here!

Ahh have fun on your vacations guys!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Oh wow. Two Canuck VJ'ers going on an adventure. It sounds wonderful. Have fun, Emancipation and Carla. Don't forget the bug spray! lol

Speaking of bug spray has anyone tried that "off fan" yet?? I am wondering if it works.

Have a LOVELY time Carla!! :)

Aww that sounds fun! I tried to talk my MIL into going camping with me a couple of weeks ago because she's never been. She wouldn't do it, not unless we had a camper or a hotel. BOO!

My ex caught tons of fish with kernel corn and sometimes bacon. It's like catching mice! Everyone has some unique thing that seems to work for them. Cheese is very yummy, but sharp cheddar brick??? I'd not be wasting it on fish! Yummmmmmmmmm!
