Gimme a break!! her namer matched an alleged criminal! So they did their jobs and checked!! Sure a pic works, but people do come up with good disguises. People like their freedom and to feel safe, but not at their expense!!

So the only way for them to tell if she is really the criminal is by looking at her butt for a tattoo? What about fingerprints? And so everytime she leaves and re-enter the country, she will be subject to arrest just due to having the same name as a criminal? The only solution, they said is for her to change her name? That's ridiculous

People want to be safe, yet dont want the extra security measures--or they dont mind them--until they have to go thru them!! They have this new "x-ray" machine at some airports that they are trialling, but some have complained it shows too much, as in private parts,lol

Maybe, but by the way the article sounded, it wasn't very quick at all. There was a lot of waiting and then TWO people had to check it to make sure.

I would have no problem with it! I have no problems with extra screening. Sure it sucks and slows things down, but thats why we arrive early for flights. I would rather much be safe than be blown up in small tiny pieces!

Yes but this woman was returning back to Canada. She was not about to board on a flight, she had just gotten off a flight. What they did to her, I don't think makes you any less or more safe. She is a Canadian citizen returning to home from a vacation.

There are other ways to tell if someone is who they say are. I'd expect something like this from the American side.

I would feel violated as well. Baring my butt to some over-zealous border guard. Anyway, like I said in the last post, how was doing what they did making "me" or "you" any more safe. She wasn't getting on a plane, she was coming home to her country where she legally resides.

Person could be trafficking drugs, etc etc.. Not all terrorists blow up/crash planes,lol And if they suspect drugs, they would be doing a lot more than just exposing ur buttocks! Rubber glove time.

Yea I really doubt that if you got off a plane and were arrested on drug suspicions and a then asked the spread em you'd bend over with glee and say: "Oh okay guyz! Just doing your jobs I understand! Safety first!"
