Flames, you have been so exuberant, so fun, so light and fluffy!

I love the new you!

Perhaps the weight of school being over??

Hee, hee.

School isn't over!!!--last semester commences Monday, yuck!! I worked out for an hour on the treadmill this morning--so hopefully a lot of my fluffiness will melt away!!

Just back from Starbucks!! I said good morning "Len" but the gal didn't reply back! Len must be in a bad mood!!

Oops, sorry Flames.

I didn't get the final memo.

See how this month must be all about miscommunications?!

So hubby & I had this big long discussion about politics last night.. it stemmed from George S's interview with Sarah Palin. He didn't think it was "fair" to ask Palin if she ever thought "you know what? maybe I'm not up for this task".. we discussed whether that was a fair question.. and I said.. well that's just the difference between CDNs' and Americans.. a little humility might do you all a little good , To which he replied.. "why is having confidence and being sure of yourself a bad thing???? .. and then I said because we all know that "American's are (and I paused)..... hubby says "stuck up and arrogant" and I said "and Canadians are " (and I paused again) and hubby chimes in "P%ssys"

We laughed hysterically about that!!!

For a moment there I thought sister Spirit had relocated to the Ukraine.... no gas and all.

It is Friday - and the gods seem to want me to go downtown and get some Sephora goodies. I shall obey.

Crazy what is goping on over there, huh?

Poor people....being "reprimanded" for joining NATO or some such story and Mother Russia does not like it.

sigh...

This is amusing.

It's good to laugh about the cultural differences.

And that is basically it..what you both agreed upon.

I mean really, Canadians laugh at themselves so much and so often that even politicians have a go at it in public.

Remember when that hilarious woman on This Hour Has 22 Minutes dressed up in her warrior outfit and then another time in her night robe and was hugging Paul Martin and saying she dreamt they were lovers and he was gping along with it?

That was classic Canadian go-along-with-things, it's fun!!

Do you have one of those handheld shower devices?

i LOVE "this hour has 22 min" best show going!! And its neat how they get so many Cdn politicians to play along in some of their skits, love it!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Speaking of This Hour Has 22 minutes....Don't know how many of you are still in Canada and get to watch the CBC....The Royal Canadian Air Farce had its final episode (Final Flight) on New Years Eve! I have no idea why they are no longer doing the show, but it was sure sad at the end to see the cast members say goodbye! I'm probably too young to remember all of the older episodes, but my family and friends enjoyed watching it!
