thanks a lot--that cup has already been used, and the box looks empty!! lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

we saw a computer on QVC .. it was a touch screen computer... there was no tower or anything.. everything was built into the screen.. I thought that was the coolest thing...

Good morning all!

I watched a movie I got from netflix yesterday - it's called New in Town - Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick Jr. - anyway, the movie was ok, quite watchable, but the funniest thing was it is about a woman who has to go from Miami to Minnesota to manage a plant.

Anyway, the winter scenes were filmed in Winnipeg - which is most of the movie and it's in the middle of winter (January). In the extra features part of the video there is a whole piece on all of them talking about how cold it is

so I have been feeling kind of crappy all weekend so far and so has the hubby.. he had to go into work early today too, 6 hours earlier.. poor guy... they are training for a new system and they also said they wanted them to be able to get out early to catch the Laker game today...

I still haven't put away all the clothes I washed on Thursday and I have a sink and counter full of dishes but all I feel like doing right now is crawling back into bed and maybe watching a movie ..

Well, it is the thought that counts - thanks Charles!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Being in a different time zone is so weird! Its only 2 hours but my internal clock is all confused... and I don't know when all all of my favorite TV shows are on.
