Good morning, everyone! I love how the morning cup of coffee sometimes has faces and designs in the froth on top. It was either yesterday morning or the morning before, but there was a gentleman on the Today Show who makes the faces/designs in the coffee! Watching him make the faces was SO cool!

Here's the link to the video.

He's in Colorado and owns the shop called Studio 6. :)

We had neighbours like that in Calgary. The neighbourhood was a typical city one - houses fairly close together. They would build a big fire in the fire pit and stay out there until 2 in the morning, drinking and talking - right outside our bedroom window. Or he would go in the garage and 'play' electric guitar.

I suppose when you talked to them they were all nice and oh we are sorry and will try to keep it down - whatever. People like that just really don't care.

Part of the problem is these kids have never had a place of their own before.. sure they are "professionals" (how our current land lord "sold" it to us) but they are still all "oooh I have my first place" and all about partying and carrying on all night long.

I would call the police and complain.

It's always funny to turn out all your lights and look out the window at the cops showing up to tell them to be quiet.

One time when Mike and I were living in Midland the people next door decided to have a HUGE party and one guy was running up and down the street naked, and no they weren't bothering us at all, but I decided to call the police because I thought it would have been funny to see this guy get arrested while naked.... and it was WORTH IT! :D

We called the police one night (Calgary) for the other neighbours, hugely loud party. Now the thing is, my Sister owned that house (they have since sold it) but anyway, first Mike goes over there, however they were so drunk and it was so loud, they didn't hear the door and they didn't really understand that he was there.

So we call the police they go over and talk to them - then they come to our house and talk to Mike (great!) - they asked if he knew who owns the house, he said yes etc etc - and they inform him that my Sister could be fined. hmm

I would have LOVED to have seen the naked guy!

I grew up during a time when "streaking" was all the rage. OMG, that was the BEST. Especially when it happened during a football game or something. The crowd went wild.

I know one guy who did it on a dare. He got dropped off at one end of the mall and was told the getaway vehicle would be waiting for him at another set of doors on the other side. So he left his clothes in the car, ran into the mall and out the other side...... and his buddies weren't there! Priceless.

My sister's husband (then boyfriend) did it with one of his buddies. They just jogged through the mall with their t-shirts tied around their necks and their running shoes on (no one wore socks in those days) and a big grin on their faces. OMG, we HOWLED. And then one of his buddies called the local radio station, so the announcer came on saying "This is dedicated to Kenn and MadDog, who just streaked through Hopedale Mall." And then they played "Running Bear".

We had fun when I was growing up. lol

Good Morning All,

Have the Pens won the Cup anytime recently? I hope they win, I like the underdog.

If you apply for a CR1, do you not have to go through ROC? Or any other ####### once you get your GC? Hmmm, I should have researched my options more thouroughly!

I think that if one has a party, once in a blue moon and notifies the neighbors, that's OK to have one loud night (on a weekend). At my old apt, I had a housewarming party and knocked on my neighbors doors to let them know it might be a bit loud, and they thanked me for the courtesy. But of course, not when it's going on every night!

E, maybe you should complain to the landlord and this time HE can speak to them.

Ummmmm...... okay, I'm feeling kind of embarrassed telling people this, but......

We're going on another family cruise for Christmas!

My parents, hubby and I, my sister and her husband (from England), my kids, and my brother. Not sure if my daughter's fiance is coming or not..... I just picked up the emails that have been going back and forth for the last 4 days. Apparently no one likes to phone me, either.

It's the Panama Canal, Aruba, Costa Rica, Curacao, and the Bahamas this time. And it's on the same ship that we were on for the Mediterranean cruise last summer! That ship gets around. LOL. The funny thing is... the ship's captain lives in the same town as I do. Weird. Wonder if I'll get the same cabin?
