Re suits in hot weather - my first summer here I was able to figure out if someone is from the area or a visitor . . . all the Georgians are wearing business attire - full suits, long sleeves, long pants. All the visitors are wearing as minimal as possible. It is really obvious.

It's even easier to spot them by the massive sweat soaked shirts of the visitors

Nevada that article is for you to read! About the Hip lacking popularity in America

It's funny, I had never really heard the band much before my last couple of visits to see Mel. She would instinctively turn the radio within 3 seconds when they came on, so naturally, my interest was piqued. I asked her who they were and she told me..... but warned that she hated them and would smack me if I played the music in her presence. I have a habit of pushing her buttons sometimes, so I made sure to watch a couple videos while she was in the shower. She did hear it and did indeed smack me on the back of the head.

I think day for night was a brilliant album. I like them. I can hear a lot of their influence in other Canadian bands I listen to, particularly Broken Social Scene.

I was SUPPOSED to go see them at the beginning of the month but ugh what happened? Star trek came out on the same day and well my loyalties lie with Star trek... and yes I could have seen star trek any time but you don't understand... or maybe you do... or maybe its better you don't. :P

They'll come around again.

I've been trying to download all the forms for our upcoming AoS, and have not been able to use any of the links in the AoS guide. I'm also having trouble even accessing the USCIS website. Anyone else having any problems?

Def get the froms from the USCIS website, not the AOS guide as they may be outdated. I just checked and can access the forms fine on USCIS...

You broke it.

Unlike Jill, I can't get them to open from the AOS guide page or USCIS right now.

Just tried again and was able to open the I-864 at USCIS - I say we call this sporadic website problems.

The links for the forms in the guide are links to the USCIS website. I tried going directly to the USCIS website and couldn't access it. This is going on for 2 hours now.

Edit: LoL, it's working now. Guess i'm just impatient.

I can load the froms linked from this page: Application Procedures: Becoming a Permanent Resident from within the US. Do they work for you?

~ Catherine

Oops. Just read that you couldn't access directly from USCIS. Weird.

You broke it.

 this was funny.

I love the hip and I love them because their music IS Canadian even if they don't want to really identify themselves as that.

Again.."You said you didn't give a f*uck about hockey and I'd never heard someone say that before!...what a line.

But, Bobcaygeon is one of my most favourite songs of all time. It means a lot to me.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
