I have officially lost all motivation at work.

I think I've done like 2 things on my 20 item to-do list today. Oops.

I have 6 more days and the last 2 should be all admin stuff... so it's really hard to stay motivated! Plus it's beautiful outside and all of a sudden I'm so social and have so many dinners to go to in the evening so I'm excited all day!

So I woke up this morning...a little late...lol...thinking.ooo its Payday today! I have some errands I need to do! Go to check my bank account, and payroll was NOT deposited! I start freaking out and called the administrative ladies at work. I ask them why I have not gotten paid today! They said oh this week it got pushed to Friday May 22nd, 2009 due to the STAT holiday on monday! I let out a big OOO and quickly say thank you and goodbye. Man I felt like an idiot, I completely forgot to look at the payroll schedule that was in my stack of paystubs and photocopied timecards! :bonk: The only other STAT that this happens is in July! Not a great start to my morning!

I can understand why you wouldn't think of that - there is no reason payroll has to be a day late just because there is a holiday - however it certainly works in favour of the company and the payroll person :hehe:

Uggh my sleep schedule is so wacked out on my days off! Only 4 months to go! Yeah I am sure the payroll persons at the Gov. of SK must have complained that they can't get their work done in time if there is a STAT. There are some people who work the STAT and the entire weekend! I know...the job comes with the territory that it is not a 9am-5pm youth facility.

You gotta love the hipster teen actress' out there. I just saw that Hayden Panettiere got a tatoo. Something she no doubt thought would be cool. Too bad she spelled a word wrong

I saw that too, but it's in a different language so the average person won't notice.... it's sideways and hard to read anyway

Well, as soon as I posted that a huge media opportunity blew up in my face!! I spent the last hour briefing a client and convincing a reporter at the Globe to interview with them (after he politely said they probably weren't a fit). This is the worst and best part about my job... so nervewracking, yet exhilerating!

If this article comes out with my client quoted in the Globe and Mail, my portfolio just improved by 100000%! Yay!

Good morning everyone! I've a busy morning this morning! It's Gene birthday today. I adore this man and love him to death. I bought him a few nice gifts. Have a gander while you're enjoying your coffee which is a coffee press in honour of Gene. Enjoy the long weekend everyone!

I just HAD to get him a bush pie maker. He'd never heard of it, or seen one until he met me, but has never tasted anything made in it...and definitely doesn't know what he's missing! The T-Shirt I got from Cafe Press. Lots of Canadian things there. A few other little things and made him his choice of birthday cakes, but isn't a birthday cake, but instead a banana cream pie.

Great gifts Carla! Love the bush pie maker, what a great idea and the T-shirt is so appropriate  - Please tell Gene we are wishing him a very happy birthday!

Em - it's Friday - that lady needs to hurry up and call you about the apartment !

Good morning all.
