Did anyone catch "Homeland Security USA" on ABC last night? It was actually pretty good!! There was one belly dancer from Switzerland who flew into LAX because she wanted to belly dance here, not knowing she needed a Visa so they sent her back.

Darnit! I wanted to see that SO bad. Will it be on next week?

Yes! Every Weds at 8pm on ABC!

Yeah I want to watch it too!

You can watch a bit of it here - like 2 clips:

Oh and sometimes they post full episodes of stuff, hopefully they will post this one !

so the other day I got a package from Canada from a friend of mine (she's in college).. she included among some other things a lanyard from the local Uni back home (which I thought was cool).. When I looked at it closer I realized that the clip that holds keys wasn't attached.. which made me think well perhaps it got thrown in the envelope by accident?

So I asked her about it this week, and she told me this story of how she went to a Christmas Party and she was hoping to win a raffle, but didn't.. and at the end of the night they were just giving things away and she got the landyard.. she said that she took it home and couldn't figure out how it worked and thought it might be missing parts, so she thought Eman's smart, she'll figure it out.. So.. she giggled when she realized that she had given me a gift that will never be useful..

So she gave me this useless gift on PURPOSE? How strange to 1. admit that you regifted a freebie, and 2. admit you knew there might be a missing piece and still sent it on anyway?

Ha ha. I just watched the clips. Nora the bellydancer is a bit dim.

Ok it's pouring rain here now.

Ahem post-21394-1231345914.gif

There were a bunch of dimwits... one dude from Cali walked across the pedestrian bridge to Mexico to buy some bongs. Not drugs, but bongs so he thought it was legal. He declared his "bongs" and when US Customs seized his bongs he said "are you going to re-imburse me for them?" He got so mad because he thought bongs were legal

I personally wouldn't import a bong, but I wouldn't know they are illegal either.

There are lots of bong shops in Calgary (yes, I know it's not in the U.S. ) - just saying I guess if you come from someplace where it's no big deal - it seems like it should be...no big deal.

Oh and on the weather thing krikit, you started the weather thread at 11:17 and I posted at 11:28 and I am wondering if I can get a waiver because it was within 1/2 an hour of a new thread being posted?

Same in Edmonton sister. There is a new "hookah" store near our house in Seattle -- so I wonder how come they are illegal?

Having drug "paraphernalia" is a criminal offense I think...but there are a bunch of shops in Ottawa that sell bongs too. I have never seen one here in New Jersey though.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
