Thanks guys. I'm supposed to be getting ready for the airport at the moment but I'm a terrible procrastinator. Besides.... I think it's only fair that I get to drink my coffee in peace before I start running around frantically throwing clothes into the suitcase.

They sure look like trees to me, personally they would just get mowed if it were my yard

Definitely little bitty oak trees. Don't bother trying to save them. Unless you're hoping for a forest. :hehe:

That coffee is different, T-mix. Reminds me of that weird cartoon that I can't think of the name of. I think I'll pass.... I'm scared of sharp objects.

Thanks ladies!!! I knew it!!!! Those squirrels have been very busy! :) I think that's how they get planted, no? Man, I need a biology refresher course!

Trailmix, I can just mow over them right?? As much as I am for tree planting, looking outside I think I see about 500 hundred or so of them. That's a bit much :)

Ahhh thanks Carla! I knew Amanda had a vacation coming up - hope she is having a wonderful time.

Sure, you can mow right over them - no problem with that.

This will be my first Mother's Day away from my Mama, it makes me feel a bit sad.... at least my sister is there and they will do something. Anyway I arranged for a flower delivery to her work today and she just called to say thanks and how lovely the flowers were, so that made me cheery :)

That's wonderful, 4 at a time whoa! What is a book shower, never heard of that? Is it when you ask people to bring books as gifts?

Yep their kids range in age from 4-10yrs, so we'll just ask everyone to bring a favorite book from their childhood. Our friends don't want to overwelm them with "stuff'.. like you move to the US and it's the land of gifts and getting.. they want to try to downplay the arrival so as to ease them into "reality" as quick as possible.. no one can have too many books ;)

I coloured my hair last night and I don't like how it turned out  I think it went to red...

the colouring aspect of it didn't work out so well this time either... usually one box is enough for all my hair but this time it seemed not to be.. and the mixture got kind of warm when I mixed them together and it didn't want to mix well either..

might need to go buy another box and redo my hair :P

I hate it when that happens! It could be that the mix was off - maybe expired or something?

btw - with oak trees, they don't need squirrels to help - lots of little seedlings develop just from the acorns that fall to the ground all on their own. We have the problem with pine trees and sweet gum trees doing the same thing - although the small little sweet gum baby tree that I purposely moved and planted in the front yard has now grown into a beautiful tall tree in just 3 years - boy, do they grow fast!

Good morning. We're staying at the beach house in Brigantine this weekend as Ethan has two hockey games in AC. Guess who gets to stay home and watch the dog? ME! If we leave her alone in a new place she'll bark and get stressed out and it's too early for her to bark. I am going to walk down to the ocean with her after I have my morning coffee. It's a beautiful day out there today. Ethan is feeling a little better, not 100% but he feels good enough to play. I figure he has the rest of the day to relax.

Donne moi une poptart!

Overcast here with thunderstorms in the forecast - we are surely not short of rain this year which is good for the garden. Of course, that leads to the other issue - I am late this year and haven't got the vegetable garden prepared nor the veggie plants in yet. So, today's job - physical labour in the garden getting it ready to plant. I like gardening - I just don't like the hard physical part of working in the garden, hehehhe.

Sounds like a nice afternoon.
