Good morning. Mike and I are beginning to get the wheels turning on buying a home. I just want to take it slow and easy though, I am not in a rush but we have an appointment with wells fargo this week as well as a real estate agent. I am afraid. But I guess now is a better time than ever to buy so I guess we should take advantage of it. I just never saw myself as a home owner.

Well I never saw myself as married either and look what happened there.

It's a nice feeling, trust me - you OWN it and you can do whatever you want! No more silly landlords. I lived in apartments since I was 19 until 36, it's a nice change

Yea I guess that's true. I just like to have the feeling of being able to get up and go when I want to... I guess that's why I liked renting. But I guess that comes along with me always having one foot out the door in every situation. I just need settle and accept that. I am a lot like my mother in that sense.

Is there a couch here I could lay on while I tell you my feelings??

I am semi looking forward to being able to grill and not piss anyone off, but at the same time its just scary for me to make such a large purchase. Aww we're going into debt together... its TRUE love. :P

I'm sure once you get the keys to your first home, all the anxiety and nerves will disappear and it will just be excitement! I don't think we'll be ready to buy a home for about 2 years. First, we have to save up for our wedding next year, then house!

A house is a great investment and it is great to be able to do your own thing.

I know what you mean about the ball and chain thing - but we always look at it this way - if you decide you want to get in the car and move elsewhere you can always rent it out (if you can't sell it right away)

Emancipation that apartment is gorgeous! But dang, for a girl from a small town apartment and home costs are so darn expensive in the big cities. I've been investigating things in Denver a little with my fiance and $1,000 a month?! Not around here! $500 would get you a nice space!

We really want to buy a house but we're going to have to wait a while and save. As my mom says, I'm 21 and I want the world... I have to wait and be patient like everyone else :P

EWWW! If I see that once more I'm going to hurl. That looks incredibly disgusting!!

1400-1500 for a 2 bedroom apartment Emancipation? WOW! :o That's unbelievable

LoL, you'd die at what rent is in Los Angeles. It's even worse in San Francisco. I do believe S.F. has the highest rents in the country again
