That's great Marilyn :)

Good morning all.

tim%20hortons%20541.jpg

Ok wow..I know for sure now that despite my move to the US, joining the US military, and living here for a year and a half hasn't torn away my love for Canada and all the things that come with it! I literally just had tears well up in my eyes when I seen that pic, and realized how long it's been since I've had a Tim Horton's coffee.

I tried explaining to some people down here who Tim Horton was (they've never heard of him,) and informed them that Tim Horton's has passed McDonald's in sales up there, and no one could comprehend that, lol.

Thank you Trailmix, for the flashback. I really need to go visit Canada again, apparently I miss it more than I knew :crying:

I'd go with B myself. As long as it's not an expense that you'd have to eat ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4 months to be able to afford, i'd consider A

Happy May All Wonder-Full VJers!

I wish for all of you the love you give in exponential form back at ya.

I wish for all of you sunny days, and if it must rain (yeah yeah we need rain), let it be warm.

I wish for all of you smooth border crossings (like my last one driving back from Montreal just over a week ago).

I wish for all of you quick responses from USCIS, if relevant.

I wish for all of you to dream your dreams and find community to support and encourage them all.

and more...

How sad - and what a beautiful young lady. I hope she is alright and they find her soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Okay I have to confess about something I did at work today...

So the local high school's PTA is having a casino night at my work tonight. So all day today the PTA mom's were in setting up. Imagine yourself around a bunch of demanding stepford wives... yep that's what it was like. Anyways all afternoon they badgered me and the other assistant to get them drinks and stuff, basically being nutty and rude. So anyways at the end of the day one of them walks up to my desk puts a plate with a half eaten sandwich on it and says: "Yea could you wrap this for me?"

Okay I bring it into the kitchen wrap it for her and leave it on the table outside. They all leave and she leaves the sandwich there. Didn't even remember to take it.

Well there's a silent auction table with sports memorabilia and everything on it so I grabbed one of the auction sheets and copied it quickly with my computer and then put it out on the silent auction table... along with the sandwich.

The item to bid on?

Half eaten sandwich by the Octomom

Value: Priceless

heheheheheehhehe, I love it! And I am sure the auction is for a good cause - it should bring in big bucks!

Unless they found it, I tried my best to disguise it. I woke up this morning wondering if someone found it or if someone bid on it. :P

I am going to a bridal shower today. Booo. I didn't even get a gift because I wasn't going to go but my MIL called yesterday and told me that she didn't want to go alone, and I know I wouldn't want to go alone so I said I would go along with her. It's just going to be cheesy... you're supposed to bring a wish or advice for the bride for a scrapbook they are going to make.

Hmm "Hope marriage doesn't go to your hips like it did to mine"

After I got married I gained weight. :P

I think that happens to everyone, I don't know what it is! I was the same weight for like 10 years, all of a sudden I move here, get married, and I'm +5 LBS so far.... hoping it stays at 5 and doesn't creep up anymore :P Have fun at the shower!

Okay I got them a gift, I feel less stressed about the situation now. Ever buy someone a gift and want to keep it for yourself? This is one of those gifts.

How adorable are those?? I just want to shrink into a teenie person and explore inside. :D

I've gained some weight. I blame my wife's cooking. Before I moving in with her, I survived on microwavable entrees and anything else that too minimal effort. :P
