Salads are one of those things that just taste better if you make it yourself I find.

I agree! I had a nice salad for lunch, with kidney beans, corn, chopped egg, croutons and assorted veggies added! With light Italian dressing, it was deelish! I always prefer my own salad as to the one in a restaurant.

so for the last hour or so I was kind of peeved because I was thinking about my wedding pictures and how I don't have very many beccause my silly mom took most of the pics ....I had let her borrow them because she was going to make copies for herself but I had always intened for her to give me back the orignals but a few months later when I asked her about them she said she had mixed them in with her pictures :P

anywho, I was feeling kind of down and then I remembered my wedding CD my brother made and I thought he mentioned that he put pics on there but I wasn't sure.. but I just checked the CD and low and behold they are on there.. I has a happy now

guarantee that cup isnt a winner, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

What I wouldn't give for a Timbit today. The dunkin Donuts Munchkins are fairly good substitutes.

What I REALLY need is a double chocolate donut from Tim's

That's great Marilyn :)

Good morning all.

I think you could say just that...there are no words and that you are terribly sorry this has happened to them. Nothing is worse then those who say cheery things like, it's god's will, .....things happen for a reason....etc etc.....I hate those people.

How sad for them - how far along was she? I had a friend who miscarried in the 9th month - 2 weeks before she was due - it was pretty horrible

Oh gosh... that is aweful... she wasn't very far along.. just past 6 weeks, they were so excited they had told everyone.. they went to the emerg. room a week before it happened because she was spotting, and the ER "Dr" (and I use that phrase loosely).. said that she was miscarrying and that not to worry it happens all the time and his wife had had 3 and it was "no biggie" and that she'd "get over it"... newly married couple, first baby, they were stunned.. they left the hospital reeling and completely devastated. They saw their OB the following day and she was mortified at what had happened at the ER, said spotting isn't necessarily a miscarriage.. that to miscarry you need heavy cramping and bleeding.. which my friend didn't have at that time..

It's true.. that's all I wrote.. that we were without words and full of grief & concern for them... hope is a horrible thing when it is lost..

Well, no matter when, they have all kids of hopes and dreams built into this little person and then to have that ripped away is just so hard. I have never had a miscarriage, but I couldn't imagine...the loss would be horrid
