Great photos, Spirit! Thanks for sharing - and for creating that little "Canadian" touch in the desert!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

That was so pretty Spirit! Thank you for sharing! I have been told I have to drive through the valley of fire when I move down as I will be going right past it, now I can understand why, should be amazing!

Ok, can relax now. Just talked to Dad and he is safely back home. He had an uneventful two days of driving until about 50 miles away from home where he ran into traffic delays - took 1 1/2 hours to go 5 miles due to some sort of accident that had been cleared up by the time he reached the spot and only 9 police cars were left at the scene. His biggest calamity at home was he was out of milk (hehehehe) and that has now been resolved. It was great having him visit - he was here 9 days - and I am pleased to see him doing so well, especially at his age. Now, dental appointment for me tomorrow and then getting the stray tomcat neutered on Wednesday. Anyone want a cat? Hehehehe - he's super affectionate and will look a lot prettier once he stops worrying about being a tomcat and starts to look after himself again - solid gray, medium length hair - looks a little bit like a British Blue.

Yeah, it is a long drive to do on his own - especially when he is turning 80 in October!

not sure where to put this, has it isn't really my vent but a vent of the dad of the kids I babysit...

over the Easter weekend they had some relatives come down from Northern California and they stayed at their house for a few days.. my boss had told me stories of these people and what they do when they come for a visit...

anyways, this time wasn't any different I guess... they always like to make a big mess in the kitchen and then never clean it up...

my boss said he had put out some vodka but hid the expensive good stuff in the back of their drink fridge but the lady went rummaging through the fridge and pulled out the expensive vodka and poured herself a double shot...

and then one day their son came for a visit and I guess he broke one of my bosses favourite hard to get shot glasses, he asked them where they found the shot glass and they lied and said they had found it in a lower cupboard when in actuality the shot glass was kept way up top in one of the cabinets...

they also broke the lock in the sliding glass door but didn't say anything about it...

crazy

Good morning everyone! We had a lovely Easter weekend. It was my in-laws 50th anniversary and we took them to a brunch at a local B&B Lodge. Was very nice. Took me most of the day to catch up on moving furniture, laundry etc. Had my first pilates class yesterday as well. What a joke that was! Well, it actually wasn't too funny. I was just a butterball rolling around. I was the only "new" beginner member, so it was very daunting. I'm going to go back next week but I really think I need to lose more weight before attempting these moves. :(

Happy Birthday Amanda! ;)

Enjoy your day everyone!

Hi everyone.. glad to hear everyone had a good weekend, Dad's are home safe, special celebrations were celebrated etc! Have fun at the dentist today Krikit!!

I had yesterday off in lieu of Good Friday (I worked), so it's back to reality today.. Hubby & I did a 5 mile hike, came home to a great supper with a good friend of my husbands, and then it all got destroyed by a hard phone call with hubby's ex  bah.. We fell asleep holding hands reassuring ourselves that we'd get through this together.. :luv:

You will get through together Em, you are much too strong for her to break you. I am sorry you're going through all of this.

Blah back to work. The long drive back yesterday wore me out and I am in this: "Where am I" mode.

We stopped in at Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse on the way back from my moms and it was so good I have convinced my mom and uncle to meet me there next Saturday for lunch and so I can pick up Ethan, we were originally going to meet in Buffalo... but now it'll be Syracuse.

Donne moi une poptart!
