I think it's so odd that government workers don't get today off. I went to the SSN office and I got mail today too. Whatever happened to GOOD Friday?

Yeah, I find it strange here. A government that references God on its money, and in its courts and it doesn't celebrate Good Friday or Easter Sunday. Chris has to work all weekend and doesn't get any holiday pay. I'm going to church alone on Sunday.

I have the day off today, but I still liked it better as a 4 day weekend.

I was at the grocery store yesterday and I was thinking "Oh! I should stock up on a few items and get all our Easter dinner ingredients, too, so that I won't be stuck with nowhere to buy anything." And then I came back to reality. icon2.gif

My sentiments exactly. :crying:

Yeah, Good Friday isn't a big deal here in the US... more religion oriented than governmental. Same with Easter Monday. My fiance works with us on our website company. He got a bit buggered b/c we were working today and I have to go back to school on Monday. Guess Good Friday & Easter Monday are federally recognized holidays... not here in the USA.

Wow.. really??? Easter Sunday IS a federally recognized holiday, but companies can choose to or not to recognize it. Stupid, I know.

Good morning all

We can hear them doing an easter egg hunt for the kiddies down at the market today, which is a couple of blocks away.

Anyway, hope you are all having a great Easter weekend!

:star: Good morning all - though I am sure its nearly afternoon now for all of you. The trade winds have ceased today, the sun is out, and I'm going to have coffee outside this morning.

Hope you're all having a wonderful Easter weekend, even if you're stuck with home repairs.

Its with the federal government. They might recognize it, just not in pay.

Oh well, I get to watch Rock of Love uninterrupted.

Hi everyone!

Hope all is well. Its spring time in Midland which means... its still pretty cold, but most of the snow is gone. We went to Orillia today to do some shopping at Mariposa Market... have any of you ever been?? If not then you for sure need to go one day, it was always one of my favorite local places. Then we went to Montanas for lunch/dinner and I was bad, I took their table top menu holder and if you've seen them recently than I am sure you'd understand... they're super nice and would make a sweet picture frame. I tipped the waitress well to make up for it. :P Okay that's no excuse.

Going out to the movies and then perhaps going to rama after that to try to win some money, even though I never do.

Just wanted to stop in and say hi.

Bye now.

Donne moi une poptart!
