Does anyone ever wonder if, one day, you'll read a post, look over at the avatar pic, and recognize someone you know? lol

Sure. Whenever I look at the posts I've made, I'm pretty sure I recognize the guy. :P

So that is what you really look like hmmm.

Good morning everyone! Gene and I had a wonderful anniversary yesterday. He arrived home from work with a HUGE spray of spring flowers. Our supper out was beautiful. Gene ate a little too much perhaps and he had to take some Tums during the night though.

Enjoy your day!

Glad your anniversary was so happy Carla! I love the word 'spray' when used to describe a bouquet of flowers :)

Well, we have now officially been in the U.S. for one year. Actually I thought we entered the U.S. on April 8th, but I just looked at my Husband's passport and it was April 3rd - the stamp is not very clear

Good morning!

Mel and I were driving to the market last night, and we drove past a house that was being fumigated.

tentedhouse.jpg

She asked me what was that, and why was there a tent on the house. I thought she was joking, so I replied "They found gremlins there and have to quarantine them". She wasn't nearly as amused as I was with that one. I did realize at that point that she hadn't seen one. I guess with silly brick houses you don't need to get them fumigated for termites

Interesting - wow that looks like a lot of work.

Most houses where I am from in Canada are wood construction.

Did homes have to be fumigated when they were being sold?

Nope. But I live in Florida now and they don't have to be fumigated before they are sold here either.

So where you live that is a requirement? Sounds like a good cash grab for someone!

It's not a legal requirement to have it done. However, most home buyers here won't even consider a home without it. We have termites here, and if you bought a home without an inspection and fumigation you'd end up with a rotting house :P
