Good morning!

What a hassle about your passport Carla!

Well the guy I found on craigslist came and raked leaves for a few hours yesterday, very nice guy and he did a good job!

Mike has today off :)

Morning all!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was SUPER busy.. like on fast forward, and I don't really feel like I got much time with hubby alone. We are used to hiking or going out exploring something on the weekend and this weekend was busy with going to a wedding. Hubby has "boy time" on Sunday afternoons watching "Band 'o Brothers", so I was on my own yesterday afternoon & evening. *sigh.. I want a do over weekend. :blush:

Baking peanut butter cookies for work tonight, must get on the good side of the staff, maybe offer me a job,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

half the first batch just went into garbage,----burned the bottoms,lol luckily I doubled the recipe! Just make the rest smaller!!1

well, I burnt most of them,lol so will just pick some up at Costco!! I cook/clean, do laundry!! Just finished vacuuming! I dont work, so I have to pull my weight some how

It's so wierd, I was so excited to come back to Canada and I am having a great visit. But, it's been nearly 2 weeks and now I can't wait to get back home to PA. I consider that my home now, I feel at home there and want to get back. But, as soon as I get back to that home, I'll miss this home again and feel homesick, you just can't win can you! I'm in one place, I miss the other. Once I get the other, I miss the other place.

haha I think most of us feel that way. I know when I was home for christmas after about 4 days I Was like, "man I need to get back home.."

But it really wasn't about New Jersey so much as my actual house is here and I like being in my own house. I think every one has their own routines and most get a little wishy-washy after they have been out of them for a couple days.

When I get home to Canada on Thursday night, my goal is to spend as much time with my mum as possible. I've already got Friday, Saturday and Sunday planned without even seeing most of my friends so I'm sure my calender will fill up fast.
