Yea I tried it last summer when I first started there.... I ended up throwing the club and walking away.

I couldn't even hit the ball, and when I did hit it, the ball would go like 5 feet forward and then hit the grass. I don't get the game at all! I just threw the club and said: "GOLF IS STUPID!"

I've always wanted to see a porn-themed mini-golf course. It'd give new meaning to a "hole in one."

Thats an awesome idea! Now that you're in Canada and they're a little more lenient with that kind of stuff you should totally capitalize on that idea.

I really need to get this off my chest and I really have no one else to talk to.. my hubby has been busy with work...

so we have still been toying with the idea of adoption, specifically adopting through the foster system.. I had no idea what that entailed so I was doing some research the other day and found that it usually only costs a couple hundred dollars for courts costs etc to adopt through the foster system.. which is a far cry from $50,000 to adopt privately..

so then I was doing a search for available children to adopt and I came across the cutest little girl, she was about 2 and her name was Mia... she immediately tugged at my heart.. she had dark brown hair and dark eyes.... I was reading through her description and then I came to the bottom and it said she had 3 siblings and my heart immediately dropped... there is no way we could adopt 4 kids all at once and I would never dream of taking her away from her siblings....

the thing is we are not ready to have a child right now anyways... but Mia's face has stayed with me all week...

Marilyn.. can I just say that you & hubby are so wonderful for considering this option and that you are beautiful for caring so much for a little one who needs a home? I think it's one of the most amazing things that a couple would open their home to a stranger, give them access to love and family they would never know otherwise and embrace them into a family & heritage. I personally am teary eyed just reading about your open hearts and willingness to even consider this...

I know that there is a wee child out there that is perfect for you guys and that it may take some time to find him/her, and you will probably meet a bunch of fantastic and wonderful kiddos as you sort through names and faces. There is such a need out there, and I know that your heart will be torn as you see how many are in need. I've looked in the CT adoption pages here, and it's heartbreaking when you realize how many kids are in the system and need homes. I also have friends right now struggling with this very issue, struggling with how to not feel like you are "shopping' for a child, how to know when it's the right fit, and how to say no to a child who haunts you daily... ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) Going through this with them is heartbreaking, but I know when they arrive home from overseas (they are doing an international adoption) all this waiting, angst and heartache will be all caught up in the joy of a family reunited..
