I am not sure if anybody saw it earlier but I posted a few days ago about a fatal shooting that happened in our neighborhood last week... I was just looking up updates and I found an article that kind of makes me really scared... I didn't know it was that bad here...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=2790681

:o Are you thinking of moving to a better neighborhood, if it's bad.... Is it near Inglewood

yeah we have been planning to move by the beginning of next year but after this I want to move now.. but we have some bills and stuff to take care before we can move....

no, it isn't near Inglewood... it is about 30 miles from there...

Yeah that's scary stuff!! I'd wanna move too.

Ouch.. Marilyn that's tough.. I have friends who literally hear shootings every night in our town.. it must be so unnerving. It's drugs in our city that is usually the reason for the shootings.. :(

I go for anther round of biometrics today.. blech.. what a complete waste of time and energy.

(completely unrelated) And step 1 of many many steps ahead of us is now complete.. Hubby's holding up better than I but we'll make it through this. :)

Could be Em. My stomach is just wonky. I was sooooooo nauseated during the night I couldn't sleep, and that's what woke me up. My muscles were all quivering inside my body as well. I don't know what's up with that. Checked my BS and it was about 85, not too low that it was concerning or anything. I don't know. Just going to take it easy today. Definitely not going to the nursing home in case it is a virus.

Oh dear, Carla. Sounds like you've contracted Gene's flu. :( Take things easy so your body can concentrate on healing. Let Gene pamper you and bring you soup when he gets home. Take a hot bath. I hope you're feeling better soon. (F)

Emancipation, have fun at your biometrics! I'm glad you're making progress on your unrelated issue. Hang in there. (F)

I can't personally bring myself to spank. But I don't think its wrong that other parents choose that route. Discipline isn't always universal and there's many methods to it.

hmmm, maybe a new business idea: dial a butt spanking

Good morning. I'm not feeling well today and was up for hours last night. Very upset tummy.

Enjoy your day!

Every two years my inlaws bring us all down to Disney World for a week, they have a time share so they use it for a family vacation for all of us, which I do appreciate.

So it came up for this year and last night my husband asked my son if he wanted to go to Disney World and his response was really funny

"No, I have been there twice and I don't really like it, you can go have fun though"

He goes to see his grandma every summer and doesn't want anything to cut into that time either.

I just found it to be a hilarious response because most kids love Disney World. But Ethan hates rides, and hates the heat.

Ethan and I feel the same way!! I went to Disney last year and didn't really enjoy myself.... it was June, bloody hot, too many lines, crowds, yuck. NOT my idea of a vacation! I'm never going back, until I have kids and I have to take them!

I feel better knowing i'm not the only one that thinks tromping around pavement in 80-90 degree temperatures is no fun

I would only consider visiting in the winter.

Yea, I don't know I see women walking around the place in mid-august and their hair is in place and they look awesome for being out in 102 degree weather.

Then there's my son and I... our faces are beat red and our hair is all wet and stuck to the sides of our faces.. we look miserable.

I don't like Disney World either and I am kind of relieved he doesn't want to go because I really didn't want to go again. The only time it was cute was when he was 6 and he was into hugging the characters... he's 10 now, he's just too cool for goofy.

I am terrible with the heat. A couple of years ago I went to the virgin music festival in Baltimore and there was an insane heat wave. I started to feel dizzy so I went to get some more water and I passed out at the counter. It was pretty scary. I woke up on the back of some speeding golf cart going to the medical tent.
