So are you going to rent it?? If you see anything suitable for a family of 3 with 2 dogs, let me know (Sister and co move the end of June).

A little cost of living reading for your sister - what an exciting move to get to make as a family! Fortunately rent and cost of homes has come down dramatically on Oahu. Its a great time to find some place to rent!

So, unless something happens with the credit check today, the house is ours. We really needed to find someplace too. I took a job on the other end of the island to start next week, so we needed to find someplace halfway to Kona and halfway to Hilo. The house has the one thing I wanted. A big, clean kitchen. The house is smaller than the one we're in now, but its many years newer. And the rent is only $950. Everything else in Honokaa/Waimea is $1500-2000 for something comparable.

And they have horses on the pasture next to the house. Its almost like the Alberta prairies hit the ocean in Hawaii. Very strange looking place, but beautiful.

Yesterday, I went to check out a rental house and the landlady, hugged me 3 times. I do not come from a huggy family. It was very awkward. I mean, she was nice and genuine, I think she's really needing to rent her house.

Hope you get the house, Cat! Sounds awesome. What job did you get? And, yes..... we want pics!! lol

So the cake is made, it is a bit falling-apartish - not sure why - but hey with scratch cakes you get what you get - it is moist and delicious though! However I did burn my arm getting it out of the oven.

Ouch. Hope it's not hurting too much. The problems with burns and cuts and scrapes is that for some strange reason you end up bumping or banging the exact same spot again and again and again until finally you just have to yell "For F's sakes!!! What the hell?" Moist and delicious cake sounds great. Who cares what it looks like? It's going to be a mess once it hits your mouth anyway. yum. lol

I sent my Sister that link and she also asked me if you had used someone to ship your stuff? Also I think I remember that you took your car - who did you send it with and were you happy with their service?

Guys I was researching AP in Wiki and it said this:

Failure to properly use an AP when departing the US can result in a technical "abandoning" of an alien's Permanent Residency application and further result in the denial of re-entry into the United States.

I thought you use AP when re-entering the US, not departing? I'm confused.

Yeah, that's incorrect. Are you going to change it?
