hmmmm, coffeee! Thanks, Charles.

My brother sent me a large tin of Tim Horton's coffee for Christmas - it arrived yesterday, so we are good to go! (Karen/Joel - any other Canadian couple in the area, you're welcome to stop by any time for a Timmie's break!)

Funny about the Hot Coffee adult content warning! My mother always said that coffee was an adult drink and I couldn't have any as a kid - I guess she was right!

oh, and Stiggy- of course you are welcome! Just bring cookies every now and again:-) - home-made is even better!

Welcome home Sprailenes - glad you had a good and safe trip!

I AM HOME!

We imported some Canadian beer and ketchup chips and cloverleaf tuna. :D

Oh and Swiss Chalet dipping sauce packets.

It was nice seeing my mom and my family AND my BFF Pam who will soon be getting married herself, but has told me that they plan to elope and would like me to come as their witness. I am honored, I am. We took the Rainbow bridge for the first time, as we drove into Niagra Falls on the way out. I have never seen the falls during the day so we took a detour. Easy as pie, no hassle whatsoever. Everything was great minus the pouring rain throughout NY state and the heavy fog coming into Philly but besides that it was a good trip.

Glad to be home though. Visiting is nice but it always feels great to get back to your own place.

MMM ketchup chips. What about Dill pickle chips!?

Sniff Sniff just dropped my Mom off at the airport... we both cried :crying: We had such a great week with her and she loved all of my in-laws (they met for the first time) so I feel a bit down right now because I know this is how it's always going to be.... I'm sure it gets easier after a year or two.

I was just outside, bbqing a hotdog and i'm thinking wow, it's hot out here.

It's 81 degrees!

Its 76 degrees here and mostly cloudy but at least the rain has stopped.

I would like some snow though. Just for today and tomorrow.

Carla, thank you for the morning coffee, just what the doctor ordered.

I think this is an appropriate moment for Triumph the Insult Dog.

Hawaii is a Pu$$y:

One of my gifts was Yule Log on DVD. I love it!

 That's awesome.

Last full day here in Tampa for me!! Fun 14 hr drive back north first thing tomorrow morning. Dunkins opens at 0530 and we plan on being their first customer, lol Got a nice farmers tan yesterday out on the golf course. Attached is my new calgary flames hockey stick putter, it rocks!! Very nice feel to it, and very much a real putter, not a "gimmick" at all! Time to go wash/clean the car to get it ready for the long trip!! cheerio

Gack. Hope you weren't one of the people in the rolled over vehicle I saw on the I-4. :(

its fine now, but in the summer FAR too hot to live in!!!!!

:bonk:

I find it perfect, Stiggy. :luv:

Sniff Sniff just dropped my Mom off at the airport... we both cried :crying: We had such a great week with her and she loved all of my in-laws (they met for the first time) so I feel a bit down right now because I know this is how it's always going to be.... I'm sure it gets easier after a year or two.

:(

Goodbyes are the WORST.

Well, I'm back. The traffic was horrendous and the accidents were numerous. We left yesterday and I had planned to drive all the way home but it took us 8 hours to do a 5 hour drive, and then we hit a wall of fog, so I called the Marriott (gotta love those points) and booked a room in Savannah because I couldn't take any more stop-and-go driving. Lots of peoples from Ontario, Quebec, and many Northern States (I hope someone turned the lights off in Delaware) heading down to sunny Fla. Apparently no one told any of these vacationers that there's a recession on. :hehe:

Christmas at my inlaws' was Christmas at my inlaws. A couple of days before I left my Cousin Kelly had called and I had told her that I really didn't want to go. <------ *huge understatement* (My inlaws make me want to throw myself in front of oncoming traffic, God luvvem.) Anyway, Kell asked when I was leaving and I said "Thankfully, I have made a hair appointment for first thing in the morning so that will delay our departure a bit and we'll leave after that." So the 23rd comes and I get my hair done, head home, pack the car, then we leave. About an hour down the road I get a text message from Cousin which says "At least your hair looks good." OMG, I howled.

Anywho.... now I am doing laundry and getting ready for my friends who are arriving on the 30th. Actually, my husband was quite sick before we left for NC. Then my sister-in-law was a sorry mess with the flu while we were there (she had driven up from GA) so I lived/live in complete terror that I will come down with whatever plague they had and will not be the perfect hostess to my guests. :(

So. Yeah. That's that then.

ETA: What the?... I had to come back and edit "pu$$y". I can't believe that got asterisked out.

So I am taking my little christmas tree down today - normally I take it down on boxing day, so that is quite different.

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a really nice Christmas. We sure did. Fortunately I got rid of my cold by Christmas Day, however the day after Gene got it. Poor dear. :( He must be healthier than me, as he doesn't have it as bad. Hopefully that'll be out of our house by the New Year! My in-laws arrive on Wednesday to help us bring in the new year. We'll play Password, a game I love. They leave on Friday the 2nd, down to Florida. We sold our car yesterday, first day officially "for sale". Now we're down to one car until the end of the week when we pick up our new one.

Enjoy the day everyone!

I ended the game with my husband early last night! He used tiny words, totally jammed up the board and we couldn't go anywhere! Then he tried to pass off "Meen" as a word! He couldn't even define it and the scrabble dictionary didn't recognize it either!

Anyhoo yes Cat you and I will play scrabble if you are ever here!

I also have a vent... gotta make my way over to that thread.
