-42C with windchill here in Stoon, thick I will head to the inside track and run,lol Timmies is swell, still have yet to win anything!!! But each cup does say "try again" so thats nice of them!!

On the radio today, they said "gotch" in reference to mens underwear, lol so good to be home, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

E! I can't believe you're back already! I thought you were staying today as well. Hope you had a fabulous time, and glad you enjoyed the warmth. How was your lunch with Krikit?

It was just a Fri-Sun thing.. very quick run to FL. I actually didn't see Krikit on Sat. I hope everything's okay with her.. I tried to make contact with her via FB, but I didn't find her :( I don't have her contact info, so I can't call and see what's up.

Oh dear! Yes, I hope everything is okay with her. You didn't share phone numbers with her? Arrange a place to meet? Did she know where you were going to be staying?

We had a time and date picked out.. i FB'd her my cell phone # and asked her to call me, but i never heard from her.. I was at the hotel at the place & time we said we'd meet.. (she had the hotel addy), but I never heard or saw her :(

Ok, that is just really really weird. I emailed her this morning, will let you know if I hear back.

Thanks so much!! Appreciate that!

Oh dear. I hope she is ok.

Glad to hear you had a good trip though. And now you are back home with the hubby? That must be so nice for you after the hard week last week without him.

Awe that is sweet!! Thanks for remembering.. yep.. hubby is home and I am home and it is glorious!!

I saw 2 motorcyclists today not wearing helmets which I found to be dangerous and I thought illegal. So when I got home I googled it and if you're over the age of 21 and have been driving a motorcycle for over 2 years, you DON'T NEED TO WEAR A HELMET BY LAW!! (state of PA)

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's your choice.

I had the same reaction as you Jill - when we entered Florida (guess they have the same non-law) and I saw all these guys going down the highway with no helmet - it made me uncomfortable just watching them!

I do however also believe it is their choice.

Yes, I agree it's to each his own, your choice. But, I think it's a stupid choice to choose to be helmet-less on a motorcycle driving 60 MPH down a highway, especially when motorcyclists have a higher rate of death/accidents than one in a vehicle, that's all. I figure they'd want to be protected in case of an accident.

Good morning friends. Here's a cuppa accompanied by a special treat. How come chocolate and coffee go so well together?

I had to laugh flames at your "gotch" comment, I had almost forgotten about that! We used to say gotch, or gitch. I remember the first time I told Gene a story that involved my son's gotch, and he had his faced all screwed up..."huh???" I explained it and he thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard.

After being married for two years, I still manage to say a word that he has no clue about until it's explained.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning everyone! Thank you for the wonderful coffee Carla. I think I will dunk the chocolate in there and make a Cafe Mocha :D

I can't believe its almost the middle of March already! This year seems to be going pretty fast as well, which is ok by me! The faster we get to the end of the year, the faster I can be with my honey again.

Anyone have anything fun on the agenda for today?
