Good morning everyone! Coffee this morning deserves a special treat, so here's a shot of Bailey's for your morning pleasure! Can't believe it's Christmas Eve today. Time has flown. For those of you travelling, please be safe. Wishing you all the very best of quiet times of joy and reflection, friends, family wherever you may be.

Woah.. it's CHristmas eve? Man.. it doesn't FEEL like Christmas Eve... perhaps that's because it's raining out :crying: all our beautiful snow is going to turn ugly hues of brown.. bah..

Anyway, was up early wrapping Hubbys' gift (which I put in a MUCH larger box and added coins so he'd never guess what it was).. you know how if you wrap some things as they are it gives it away??

beautiful morn here in Tampa. Off to day #2 at Busch gardens, only half a day today, as by noon the line ups to ride the roller coasters are far too long!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

OMG look at "my" beloved Vancouver early this morning:

http://www.katkam.ca/

of course this keeps updating and so...

at this moment there are people walking on Burrard Bridge.

You can almost never do that...always too many cars.

After a full day of snow it is raining here and I am sitting here with dripping wet hair because I was out there for over an hour shovelling the car to have a space to actually be driven tomorrow.

That is if it does not turn into a street skating rink!

The temps are falling again...sigh.

Oh Winter weather sucks here in Great Lake country!!!!

I love rollercoasters too Flames.

The ones up here north of Chicago were so fun.

I hadn't been in a zillion years.

There was one called Superman (or something) where you were strapped in hanging off it underneath...so it felt like you were flying...at Mach speed!!!

Crazy!

Thanks loving lovely Cannuckian Forum for existing and creating this virtual family!

(Hmmm that just made me remember Fahrenheit 451, a book by Ray Bradbury....scary, oooouuuu...ahem.)

Thanks for all the delectable coffees Carla.

Thanks Trailmix and MrsCat for this possibility...

Thanks Charles...uhm, just 'cos.

Good morning everyone, well..afternoon I suppose now :) Carla, I think I will go put a shot of Bailey's in my coffee now, as that looks too good :)

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas eve and Christmas day..I have to work night shifts at the Transition House the next 3 days (one of the only staff that doesnt have kids), so I will be sleeping most of tomorrow lol. :)

After our huge and dibilitating storm on Sat/Sun, it's pleasantly snowing today...looks and feels fairly Christmas-y :)

It feels weird today because it's really my last Christmas single and with my family. 2009 will be a huge year of firsts, but I'm excited :) Booked my flight to Raleigh to 'move' for Feb 3rd yesterday...such huge steps after what seemed like an eternity!

....now if only the snow will be NICE in feb and let me fly out on time lol

Have a great day guys!

Jen
