I am watching Sandra Lee on FN and she's making this mardi gras king cake and she just stuffed this tiny plastic baby in the middle of it!

All I am thinking is: "Someone is going to choke on that little baby!"

I have just read up on this tradition thanks to Wiki and I am well aware of why they do it now. So if I ever come across a king cake, and bite into a plastic baby I feel the need to spit it out and run away from the freaky hosts. :P

mmmm....King cake is gooooood. I've never swallowed the baby though. :-P Some people put a nut or something else instead of the baby.

I just got back from a visit to my husband in Canada. Didn't know anything about Family Day until I got there. LOL. I had no idea everything would close down for that. The mall was closed! :-P

What the hell? Where the hell are they supposed to go with their families???? :P

Good morning everyone! I dreamed of Tim's last night, and donuts! *sigh* I REALLY need to have a good donut to satisfy this craving. I had a horrible sleep again last night, my left knee for some reason is killing me. I think I twisted it on a walk on Monday, as I've been in a bit of pain since then. It has been aching the last two nights.

I'm looking forward to the delivery of our new mattress today! Hope Gene and I will have a good night's sleep.

Good morning. I woke up early this morning... my 'commute' to work is literally 11 minutes so I usually get up a little later... but this morning I couldn't go back to sleep. Now I am sitting here killing time.

I was up 5 min early.. so more time for VJ! :)

I got a cooking mag subscription from a friend in the mail yesterday! It was a surprise, and I hope it gives me some inspiration.. you guys shame me with the delish dishes you make your hubbies. :wacko:

Good morning, everyone. Got in late last night. It's so good to be home. :)

We had a wonderful time but I am flipping exhausted from all the visiting. Oh.... and my butt muscles and legs are aching from the bowling, so it's really hard to move. :lol: I guess I did a lot of fancy splits and stuff. :blink: It was fun. I bowled a much better game after two caesars, though. (My first game I scored a 94 if that's any indication for you. :lol: )

I have one day to tidy up, shop, and get ready for my cousin and daughter who are arriving tomorrow. :dance: There is no way I will be able to catch up on anything I've missed here while I've been gone. So......
