I had no clue grammys were even on!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Yes, at 8!! Katie Couric did a grammy special on Weds where she interviewed a few celebs who will be at the grammys tonight. Red carpet from 6-8 on E!

Radiohead is going to be on the grammys tonight. Not really a big fan of them post OK Computer but they're amazing live.

Wow!! I didn't even realize the grammys were tonight! I haven't seen one advertisement for it! I'm glad you mentioned it sprailenes. I like to watch it :)

Me too, and I agree with you, its like none of these shows are even being publicized at all. Every other year there was something letting us know.

I found out from my husband who is a huuuuge radiohead fan.

American Airlines... I think it is because there aren't a lot of seats left... on the actual ticket thing it says they will assign seats at check-in.. but when I actually try to choose seats it says try again later...

and like I said I was allowed to pick seats on the first ticket but then a few minutes after I got them I realized I made a mistake so I had to cancel those tickets and get new ones and it wouldn't let me pick the seats... although there actually were quite a few seats left when I picked the first time

Try calling them. If you can actually get past the automated service and speak to a real person, you might be able to get your seats ahead of time. If that doesn't work, you need to get there early, since the seating arrangements will be "first come, first serve." If you can't get seats together, try switching seats with someone else. Usually people will do this if it's for a couple or a family.

yeah it really isn't a big deal but my 16 year old brother said he wanted to sit by a window because he has never flown before... I won't be flying.. I bought the tickets for my mom and dad and sister and brother to fly down here.. they do plan on being there early so hopefully they get seats together...

Man is she pregnant! How far along is she? I thought she did a great job with her clothing. Very tasteful for someone who's pregnant yet very cool.

Good morning everyone! You've all been missed! I'm sure that the coffee selection and occassional treats were done up in style while I was away though. :hehe: We had a fabulous time away, I loved the warmth, although the last week of vacation it was a little cooler than normal. I'll post a few pics in the next couple of days if you'd like. I have a ton of reading to catch up on. I don't know how far back I'll go on this thread though. Anyone want to fill me in?
