It would be our 9th month as husband and wife on the 26th, just 2 months of being together and 7 months apart (thanks VSC!). I do not know till how long are we going to wait to start a life together for good. We have been suffering from VSC for 5 months and 14 days now.

I was only with my dh for 12 days and his dad died the day before I left and he buried him the day I left.

I have been married 1 year and 20 days! Have not seen my dh in 1 year and 8 days.

:crying:

This is pure torture!

We had our civil marriage on 23rd february 2008. and the religious one on 22nd of august. the difference is because we wanted to have the marriage certificate and file ASAP, but I didnt want o be a winter bride. and also preffered to have some time for preparation of his baptism, the dress, the reception, his folks to have time to book tickets in advance and so on. we consider the religious ceremony to be the real marriage, when we exchanged rings and been blessed. for both events my husband was here for like a week, but u know the stressed time around marriage. so basicaly we had 2 weddings and no honeymoon yet. had to pick between him taking more time off once and have aa honeyweek, or take shorter time off more often. picked the second on. so he can visit once at 2-3 months, a weekend and 2 extradays. is very short, time flies, but helps a lot. we've known eachother, living over skype, developing ways to comunicate over ocean since 2005. I wont touch comp for months when i get there!

I believe the same as you...that the religious marriage counts for me, not the civil one. Our religious marriage was in the US with all our friends and family. We had to be religiously married anyway before we could be alone together. My mom and his older brother had a fit when we went alone to the grocery store together LOL. So we were very happy to have a religious marriage quickly so that we could finally be alone without having to get lectured and reprimanded.

We had the civil one much later in Amsterdam....and you know the story from there!

Did anyone get to spend their anniversary with their spouse? Did you go travel to see him/her? Or are you planning to spend the anniversary with him/her?

We spent our first anniversary in Amsterdam together. I refused to miss it! LOL It was only 10 days, but a few months later we had our anniversary trip. I'll have to show you guys the picture of the towel animal they made us on the cruise ship. It was HILARIOUS!

At the rate things are going, I have a feeling I should plan on being there again for our second anniversary! :(

Oh my! I do not know if I could stand that long.. If we won't be approve in another 6 months then I need to see my husband or I would really be into depression.. But I do hope that all of us could get approval after holidays..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

Well, Insha'Allah (God's willing) I am going to see my husband in 71 days and then I will feel a little better. I feel depressed today. It comes and it goes. I was ok last week and the beginning of this week but the kids are driving me crazy towards the ending of this week.

That's nice to hear.. It is always exciting to have this countdown (counting the days till your husbie arrives) but it is always painful when the vacation is over and you need to say bye for now. My husband spent a month with me but he left before the end of November. Now it is more depressing.

Yes, actually I am thinking about going to visit him for our anniversary. I'm thinking of suprising him and not discussing it with him. I know he misses me, but he also worries alot about money and wouldn't want me to spend the money. It will be an entire year since I've seen him in March so I say I need to do this for my own sanity.

:(:angry::(

No plans to visit him?

I think it's a great idea. Money comes and goes. Love, affection, physical interaction, with your spouse is much more important.

I'm happy and already sad about visiting my husband. I wish I could have made it a longer trip, but I have my school exams and portfolios that I have to finish by the end of January. :( Well, I guess 1 week is better than nothing. I'm hoping that we'll get an approval sometime soon after I get back (or while I'm there). I can't plan the next trip without knowing :(
