I guess I'm not familiar enough with New York politics, but wasn't Hillary a johnny-come-lately when she ran for the Senate?

Yes, she was even less deserving than Caroline is.

I want to see a born and raised New Yorker, preferably upstater, of blue collar and/or immigrant roots. That will be a helluva lot more 'representative' than either of those ladies of legacy.

I am sure there are, but with the buzz over Caroline and the almost foregone conclusion she'll get it, who would be suicidal enough to speak up?

Note that this pattern played itself out a few years ago, when Hillary first 'proclaimed' her interest in the job.

Hillary ran against a nobody in a democratic state. she was appointed for all practical reasons. Hillary did nothing for ny state and the same thing will happen again. Everything will be geared for the day kennedy can get out of ny state and into the white house. NY state will suffer on and on and on.
