PS: has anyone seen carrie and simo? have they received any news yet?

carrie, if you or simo are reading this... love ya'll! praying for ya'll!

*hugs*

Hi Lynne,

Thanks so much for thinking of us and no, no good news. Its actually been nothing but disappointing news for 3 weeks. That is why I have not been around much, a bit depressed.

Twice now (since the first time) DOS has told me they were finished with everything, then turn around and tell me it is not. Today I was told by DOS that Casa has a hold on our case, for what reason they don't know and to call the Consulate.

So this morning I called Casa and the woman was extremely rude. She said it was still under processing for security clearances and she already told me that once. I tried to explain to her the first time I spoke with her was to know why they were giving the passport back and now is because DOS keeps telling me they are finished and to call Casa. She won't tell me why there is a hold (whatever that means), just that it's under processing and could take some time.

Just kills me this constant ####### of DOS saying it's Casa that is holding it up, Casa saying it's DOS. NO ONE will give a straight answer. In the meantime our petition expires in a month. :clock:

ps. Sorry for the rambling vent. Hope I didn't ruin the daily thread. Also, a little birdy told me you got your interview date. Am I right?

Hang in there Carrie. We have been on AR for almost 4 months now. You are lucky you can actually call Casa. The only way anyone can call the embassy is Egypt is on landline phone IN Egypt so the only way I can to contact them is via email and I always get the same email regardless of what my question is. When I call DOS they ask ME why Cairo sent back the petition AFTER they had cleared him!!!! Why are they asking me? How the heck do I know? It makes me crazy and I am fighting depression now. Just sucks our lives has to be in the hands of people that do not even know us. Head up hun....we will make it through this. (F)
