I have a question...I know the requirements for the K1 is that you only have to met your SO once within the past 2 years...I know it also looks better the more visits you have to see your SO... Im filing the end of December and am trying to go back in March to see my SO again, but if something happens and not able to go financially then (before interview comes) wanting to know if that lowers our chances of being approved...I was just wondering has anyone been approved just going once to see their SO on the K1?...

Once should be enough. Hopefully some others will come along and give you their stories.

I myself have visited once, Even thought my fiance is Chinese, I just do not have the desire to fly back and forth to China, I do not care for the 15+ hour flight, mainly.

Yes, and your fiance was blue slipped for bona fides at the interview. Does she have a visa yet?

Well, if that is the reason for our "blue" you know something I do not, thanks for the information.

What I "know" is that time together in person is the strongest evidence of a bona fide ongoing relationship and that the information requested on your blue slip relates to concerns about whether your relationship is bona fide. As such, your case is not a good example in support of the idea "One visit is enough." One visit can be enough but in a high fraud Consulate it often isn't. Lagos is not a "high fraud Consulate". It's a "Super high fraud Consulate" in a category all its own. Consular officers are trained to consider the totality of circumstances in each visa case, including local conditions and concerns.

Since Nigeria is a high fraud country, the more trips the better!

Sort of. The categories of fraud level are, low, medium, high and Lagos.

Is there someplace where one could check these categories? Or is it all just some sort of assumption and/or common sense?

Does anyone know?

It's anecdotal. If you want to know where a country fits in the fraud spectrum, just ask. In general, if it's not Canada or a VWP country it's medium or above.

What do you think Ukraine is? It's not in Lagos category, but it's no Canada either, huh?

It's Croatia, in our case.

Considering the number of people here (as in, this forum), then also in the actual country and overall on the Internet, who are doing this, or even just simply know about it, I'd assume it's miles and miles away from any and all fraudulent actions.

Any information available?

Both Ukraine and Croatia are in the low to medium range in terms of the percentage of fraudulent visa applications.

Thanks.

Apparently, Croatia is being considered for VWP. Or it's what we, here, are being told about these days. According to the Wiki entry on VWP, as of 2008, the nonimmigrant visa refusal rate gets Croatia qualified, too.

They must have forgotten to add my number of B2 refusals to the country's total, I guess.

HI, Just want to let you know that I only went over once, and well if my time and that was sufficient enough. There were plenty of pictures of the visit, the engagement party all of the emails, phone calls. Everything that is considered evidence. I did not go back. Stallone handled the interview on his own. Have all your documents in order and prayerfully everything will go well.

Keep it Tennekey

I have a question...I know the requirements for the K1 is that you only have to met your SO once within the past 2 years...I know it also looks better the more visits you have to see your SO... Im filing the end of December and am trying to go back in March to see my SO again, but if something happens and not able to go financially then (before interview comes) wanting to know if that lowers our chances of being approved...I was just wondering has anyone been approved just going once to see their SO on the K1?...

Health and Wellness to you always

May your life be filled with many colors.

I know an office mate who was approved in just one visit by her fiancee'. But just make sure that you have enough proof to show them that your relationship is real.
