Its pretty naive for anyone to think that Obama didnt know what was going on with his senate seat. The one he worked so hard for, my god! Obama did alot of funky ####### to get that seat and for him or anyone else to say he was ingnorant of what was going on, is a bit much to swallow.

Well without anything actually specific - all we have is innuendo and speculation.

Common sense will do in this case.

Legally speaking ,your right.

Well not really... If we accept as you said (and yes - I agree) that no politician is exactly clean - then short of actual, indictable criminal infractions - what exactly is the issue here?

Well, to go back to the beginning...the issue is the current indictments & any fallout/taint to O's staff.

On which basis we only have speculation to work with.

Of which the following
45% of U.S. voters say it is likely President-elect Obama or one of his top campaign aides was involved in the unfolding Blagojevich scandal in Illinois, including 23% who say it is Very Likely.

is an attempt to smear President-elect Obama without any evidence.

Well in and of itself the 45% statistic is kind of a meaningless claim - because its just asking for a gut reaction based on the sort of behaviour that people expect from elected officials.

90% of US voters believe that God exists. Therefore it must be true.

Nah, it's a (public opinion) poll.

If he & his team are truly clear, we'll know soon enough.

Well as the fiascos over the birth certificate and Bill Ayres show - even if his campaign is cleared of any involvement, it won't make much difference to those who want to believe that he did something wrong.

Personally I think if O did do anything wrong it would be so covered up (Rezko, Ayres, Wright, etc) that it would never come out.

His pals Rahm & Axelrod might have a different story.

There again is more baseless assuming.

Stop waxing lyrical, HAL. She has all the facts.

I will stop now. Steven got me in the mood for Chicago-style pizza so I think that is what's for dinner if Mrs HAL 9000 doesn't oppose.
