My post says nothing about forcing the governor out. If you actually read it (obvs not), you would see I was talking about impeachment & indictments, not the Supreme Court & the atty gen's request. but it's VJ, same old, same old. Why read when you can just wax poetic about unrelated things?

However, he will not appoint O's successor, so much for 'going free'.......

I would find it hard to believe Obama did not play some roll in

negotiating with blavo about his replacement (perhaps indirectly).

This would only be normal!

The real question is: did Team Obama .... once they were aware of this deal-making, proceed.

Of course the fact that they did not report it, looks bad but hey; this is politics. That could be overlooked but if they were deal-making on tape, that will not go away quickly.

The investigation was not shut down. The Supreme Court refused to remove him from power, that's all.

The impeachment panel is meeting now.

And the criminal charges still stand.

It depends on what you define the problem as.

If you believe that publicized issues of corruption are rare instances involving politicians of less moral standing; then no change in thinking is necessary.

If you believe, as I do, that there is something inherently wrong with our system, and the collectively elected representatives of the American people have too much power and that the urge to use that power is nearly irresistable, and the corruption is far wider spreading than the rare tasty morsels we are fed by the media, then it's obvious a change is needed.* And that change needs to involve a charter, detailing exactly the limitation of power for elected officials. This would effectively leave no room for corruption, for politicians would no longer have the power needed to exert a change.

Sadly we have this charter, but it is seldom used anymore, and basically forgotten.

You used punctuation so it doesn't run-on like the sentence I am writing now in response to your assertion that the one you posted is one much like an analysis and condemnation of the American political system which I also think is quite broken and hope that someone like Obama can stimulate a new drive in changing precisely things like these to a point that we can all say after the smoke clears that not even hometown good ole boys like Blago are safe from positive change in laws that I know some folks really could care less about and instead opt to b!tch about it online for free with the only currency lost as time much like the amount of time it is taking you to read this run-on sentence.

Well... whether or not people feel that Obama is involved can't really be taken as a barometer of how he is personally perceived. I think there are a lot of people who hold the view that politics (and politicians) is a generally corrupt and dirty business - and no politician, regardless of how liberal, conservative or otherwise idealistic they are can entirely escape from that.

Furthermore, because one Chicago politician is corrupt it hardly means that they all are, so this guilt by association #######, in the absence of actual evidence isn't exactly convincing - regardless of how much people want to gossip about it.

Your very own opening post says, verbatim:
