Hi All,

I suddenly have a very lonely feeling. sometimes i wonder what am i doing here? H and I are separated and it is very devastating. I love(d) him, but he tells everyone that I married him for his GC and it really hurts. I am frustrated that he didn't try to work on our marriage. I am here, in the US, alone with no family or relatives. Going back home is not an option either since I will be discriminated because of the divorce. I feel like I don't belong any where.

We'll be your friends, Colada.... and you'll make new ones there. Ignore what is being said about you and try to meet people outside of the circle that you and your ex have/had. Rise above it and focus on building your life here.

Think about it Sweetie, what other friends do you need when you got us here? Throw a slumber party or a veejay meet up, to make sure people attend, whine a little about how sad and lonely you are, and sure you ll have veejay angels to the rescue.

On the lighter side, i support the previous post, make new friends, find a hobby, volunteer, start college/ a career, just do something meaningful with your life. It hurts, it might also help to find veejay members living within your vicinity, maybe those who just got here and are bored to death waiting for adjustment of status, tea, cookies, hot choco's and some good laughs will make you feel better.

Sorry about your loss, emotions does hurt deeply and i hope you get better soon.

Life here can really be lonely without family, friends and loved ones!

Thank you all for the kind words. It meant a lot to me.

I thought that after the whole immigration process, you really know it is true love. Who would have gone through all this trouble when they weren't in love? However, my husband wasn't really in love with me. You live and you learn. It was a lesson indeed.

I thought the same thing, Colada... but as with my own case, some men are just not grown up enough to 1. know what they want 2. have the skills necessary (or the desire necessary) to build/work on a relationship.

(I'm not male bashing... the same could apply to women... I'm just making a point)

Try not to let any of this affect your self esteem.... just know that the person for you is still out there somewhere, searching for you. Take this time for yourself to learn what you can and grow as a result of what you've been through so you're ready when you meet him!

Hear hear, I agree!

It's not good to dwell too long on this matter, esp looking on your timeline like its a done deal. Now is the time for you to concentrate on you, your growth inside out. Enjoy and love yourself by doing things for you like what others say: work, go to school, volunteer, make new friends, initiate friendship, pamper yourself... Don't let life's beatings put you down.. :)

From reading your past post about how abusive and your ex husbands addictions I'd think you'd be happy about being free from him.
