Hi, I am a senior from college, and getting married with my girlfriend who is also a full time college student. We both don't have jobs and never really file income tax returns. To fill out the I-864 form, I have some questions:

1. Even my girlfriend does not have income, but she still has to fill out one I-864 for me?

2. Does the Sponsor have to be her relatives? or anybody who is willing to help us.

3. My parents in china can support me on any living costs here, and I do have $ in the bank. Can that be considered?

4. How do you know if the sponsor meet the income requirment, so you don't need another sponsor?

Thanks so much!

If you werenot required to file a Federal income tax return under U.S. taxlaw because your income was too low, attach a written explanation. If you were not required to file a Federal incometax return under U.S. tax law for any other reason, attach awritten explanation including evidence of the exemption and how you are subject to it.

you might get more advice from www.candleforlove.com

but be aware, china is a tough place to get a visa and any reason they can find, they will deny you.

both college students will make it harder to pass.

if your parents are rich or connected, it will help. if you are a regular 'joe', keep you fingers crossed

good luck

We are both in USA right now, no need to apply any visa.

you meant whose parents were rich? the USC's? or mine?

I thought the sponsor can be anyone, not just the parents.
