It's ironic that you quote Frost. If you had bothered to actually read the poem, you'd see that it argues the exact opposite.

Digilante: noun a person who is usually unemployed, such a college dropout, druggie, alcoholic and in many case a retired Republican who thinks George W. Bush should run for a third term in office. This person usually keeps track of any "illegal" entry into the US via the internet through their home computer. The main reason, they're either too lazy to go do it in person or just can't plain afford to make such a ridiculous trip to the Mexican border. Also, they're too dumb to think of guarding the Canadian border because everyone knows that only "lega" Canadians can make it into the US from Canada.

I knew it! He can run for a 3rd term, wohooo! *goes out and discharges his colt 45*

The fact remains that 86+% of the illegal aliens in the USA are Hispanic and mostly come from the southern border area. Whites make up roughly 6% of the illegal alien population.

It's pretty obvious where the problem is and it ain't Canada.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

Do you guys know that you can walk from El Paso, Texas to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (From the United States into Mexico) without coming into contact with a single immigration officer? It is so strange, I went from El Paso to Ciudad Juarez last summer, and there are 4 different bridges that people can use to cross between the two cities. I used the one called "The Bridge of the Americas". I used the walkway on the right side of the bridge (coming from the U.S. into Mexico) and had two large bags. I walked about 250 yards without being searched, asked for ID, harassed, etc. In fact, there was not one customs agent in sight; you can walk right into Mexico.

However, when walking from Juarez to Texas, I was led to a building full of U.S. Customs Agents, and I was questioned.

The point of the story is that if you are "on the run", "wanted" in the United States, etc., then you can simply walk from Texas to Mexico across a bridge without having to worry about going through Mexican Customs. I was shocked that I just walked right into another country without contact with any U.S. or Mexican government personnel.

India, gun buyback and steamroll.

kinda makes you wonder why some want to divert scarce resources away from the southern border, eh?

Don't worry- since some people would rather continue treating problems by symptoms instead of going for cures, you'll have to increase those scarce resources to the Northern Front as well someday. People in need will continue to, and find, another way. So eventually we'll have crazies along the Canadian border as well b!tching about illegals coming from up north since that border is longer and less easy to seal off.

It's not our job to 'cure' Mexico and the rest of Latin America. That's their job and they're making (slow) progress.

Our job is to secure the border. All our borders, not just the ones with the scary brown people on the other end.

I picture you online keeping our borders safe.

No, that's the Federal governments job.

I'd happily pay extra in taxes for it though.
