OKAY so lets say USCIS has sent the approved I-130 petition and NVC never got it cause it was hypothetically sent to the National Records Center. Whom am I to call to have it rediscovered and what exactly do I say to them??

Any insights...

Well, its been a while since you were approved. Doubt it was sent to the NRC instead of NVC. I would call USCIS and see what is going on, and maybe even call NVC and inquire there?

Just for grins, why do you think your approved petition was sent to the NRC???

well because USCIS says that they have sent it to NVC and have no further action on it. NVC says they never got it even though its been over 90 days and they can't act on something they dont have.

I would contact the USCIS and explain to them that the NVC never received the case. If you made a copy of the packet, I would make an additional copy to send back to USCIS with a cover letter stating the issue as well as a copy of the NOA2.

NVC will not be able to proceed with a case until it reaches them. If it is indeed lost, the best thing is to get the ball rolling again. Hopefully someone esle in your situaion can provide additional assistance. Best of Luck!!!

Don't waste your time with USCIS. Even the supervisors were no help. Contact the Dept. of Homeland Security's Ombudsman Office. Send copies of all important papers with your correspondence, to avoid more delays. They were very responsive to us, and got our petition to the NVC. Mike & Yizhen
