Dear Mods,

Could we have a SSN/Green Card/Welcome letter info sticky somewhere please?

I've noticed a lot of threads lately asking the same questions repeatedly - when will I get my green card? why hasn't my SSN come? etc etc mostly seen in the CR1 forum and the Moving to America forum.

since there are no dates on those and no dates anyone can advice on here, i dont see a need for it. If they need to know, they need to call SS or go to Adjustment of Status (Green Card) General Discussion for green card timelines.

We dont need a sticky if the info is already avaliable

If ppl would stop being scared to venture around the board they would learn that there is a forum for every step in this process and recieve the info they need.

also, even if we got a sticky, it wouldnt be able to tell them when they will get a GC or SS...they still need to call or go to SS or call USCIS about their GC. usually if they make an acct online they would know their status as far as the GC goes.

Im not trying to be harsh, but we are all adults, and the spoon feeding is getting old. The info is on this site, but no one wants to go to diff forums to find it, they just want to ask and have it handed to them. Researching the site is very important, and the first thing that should be done when joining.

Okay so no sticky.. but can the information on the VJ guide be updated please to include info for CR1/IR1 visa holders. I think I read threads asking the same repeated questions daily
