Why does our dates keep changing on the timeline data. It keep getting further and further away, Disappointing and confusing. Just when I think we are finally going to get the second letter. It has been since Aug 18th and still awaiting, as if the wait has not been long enough. :crying: upsetting me.

Has this happened to anyone else. Below is the third change. Someone please help me understand.

Thanks

Detra

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 23, 2009 and February 15, 2009

Sometimes a Service Center may slow down (or speed up) processing. As this happens the amount of time it is taking for people to be approved starts to change in the timeline data. This will cause estimated approval dates to slide out (or in).

For example the VSC has been consistently getting longer (for I-129F processing times):

I hope this explains what you are seeing some. As your approval date nears the estimated approval date will get more accurate :).

can someone explain this to me?

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between November 22, 2008 and December 1, 2008*.

today is december 19th 2008

Every case is different. The timeline system estimates approvals based on other similar timelines. There is a large number of data points so the prediction is valid (for estimating when the avg person may expect to be approved) however some people may be approved earlier or later depending on several variables (security checks may be slow for some people, someone got a slow/fast adjudicator, etc). Your case does indeed seem to be statistically a little slow. Here is a graph of approvals by month (the % of people who filed in any given month and have been approved -- based on the timeline data):

I hope I was able to answer your questions! :)

Nope, very little has reasonable explaination in regards to this process.

OP: We had the same thing, date kept moving farther and farther out, from nov to Dec 29th, then started backwards and when it go to Dec 9th, we got approved on Oct 19th. It's supposed to be a guide, but not worth getting upset about. keep up the faith. You should see your NOA2 soon. Good luck.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it very much. Just was asking for clearity. Have a wonderful Holiday.

Anyone waiting any length of time is allowed to express their frustration here. They should be able to do so without fear of being attacked for doing so. Please refrain from personal attacks. It solves nothing.

OP... nobody can tell you when you will be aprpoved but the other posters are correct... VJ data is wonderful for reference but in no way should it be relied upon for adjutication. There is far too much room for human error.

I hope you hear something soon. :)

Thankyou, have a Wonderful Holiday.

Whatever, it does not matter I already stated how I felt, I did not post with intent for any stupid remarks. I will be mindful of the dum stuff people chose to say, when posting again. There are other ways it could have been stated. Peace

dum??? you asked and you were answered...since this is a public forum, you will recieve answers and advise you may or may not like, that is the risk you take when asking on a public forum, however calling ppl "dum" actually spelt dumb, is a bit immature...and ppl will remember that when you need help again. Its a stressful process, but like i sd, just bc you dont get the answer you want, dont go around name calling
