IV Fee Bill Status:UNPAID, Receipts show PAID

Hi there,

Looking at your timeline, I am stuck in the same issue.

- Paid the IV bill Dec 11, 2008

- AVR says "IV bill generated" Dec 12, 2008

- Online status "UNPAID" but receipts section shows "PAID" Dec 12, 2008

I have already mailed DS-230..

Should I pay again, or should I call NVC ??

I just don't want my DS-230 stuck..

Don't pay again, you paid a day to early. You can call but I did that too and it ended up sorting itself out on its own. Check to see if they took it out of your bank.

it sorts itself out, but call and get the true information that is up to date, the operators always were good to answer my questions

Problem is - NVC is closed today (Sunday). My DS-230 will reach tomorrow morning (according to USPS express service). When NVC receives DS-230 and Payment shows = UNPAID, they might throw away my DS-230. That's what I am worried, DS-230 processing getting delayed.

So what if issue doesn't get sorted on Monday, we would be in a big, big trouble. I really made a dumb mistake in paying early, on top didn't even include receipt page along with ds-230 pacakge. bummer!

If I pay the fee again one more time, I can always ask NVC for a $400 refund right? do you think they will refund the money back ?

I don't want to lose $400, but I want to be on safe side.

Need your advice guys. very much appreciated!

assume it will take them a couple of days to jump in the middle of the 230 when their systems starts monday morning paid my appear mine appeared over a night just call and ask status see what they say, then the next day call again and they will prob say we recd your 230 will take 2-4 weeks to complete, but it dont give it about a week after they rec to tell you complete

It takes one week for system to show as PAID in this scenerio.

so My DS-230 will be delayed by one week. that would be too bad!

all i know is mine showed paid next day and no problems way i did it thats why i tell everyone dont hurry the process wont buy you that much time and even on their letters they tell people dont send until ask for but of course we do but we just have to make sure one step is basically completed before the next can by pass and be in the works to cut down the working times, im sure yours will work out and be fine and prob no delay

ok don't pay again. if they ask for the receipt you have it and proof they took it. they probably won't ask for it, but if by friday, it doesn't show as paid, i'd call and make sure.

Just to repeat DS-230 is reaching tomorrow morning, it'll be stuck for a week (until the issue is fixed in their system).

I really can't afford to lose a week. you might think I'm freaking out but i really don't trust NVC or any other immigration agency.

I am totally freaking out. NVC Lady said they'll put DS-230 on hold until IV fee bill issue is resolved. they gave me 2-3 weeks to resolve this.

dont worry i was freaking out 2 @ that time, NVC will resolve this issue in a day or 2 ..good luck..and ya DONT PAY AGAIN i was thinking about that too so i can speed things up but u might be better of waiting like i did.

the problem is - DS-230 was delivered on Friday but it still hasn't been entered into NVC system (I just called, and no sign of DS-230..)

so I am thinking they put my DS-230 on sideline!

Is that true - they won't review DS-230 until this IV bill issue is sorted out ?

Its full 5 days since I called NVC about this issue. IT's still UNPAID.

I'm in total panic mode. I have called NVC so many times, had supervisors looked at this. everyone says the same thing give 10-15 business days.

I'm exhausted. How long will this take ?? Do you think my DS-230 is on hold ?

if you have called and called and talked to someone then all you can do is wait, just keep checking everyday, get a name if you can and stay in touch with them. What do they say is the problem? you have the receipt, send it to them (a copy) and tell them to fix it, kinda dumb we would have to send them proof of something they issued in the first place, but you could get the copy there pretty quick
