I know everyone say that it is a short time that my case will be at NVC but I have called everyday so far and they keep saying they don't have my case. :crying: . Can anyone help?

Is that only for K-3? I've called the NVC, they say they don't have our K-3 yet, but they have CR1.. both case were approved on the same day, Dec 2nd. We think our K-3 should be forwarded to the Embassy though. I have a friend whose K-3 at the Embassy now, but when they call the NVC the operator says there is no their K-3.

That is the same thing they told me!!!! I called about 4 times and operator said they don't have I-130 and I-129. :bonk: After waiting so long, and knowing I am on the home run I am becoming realy tired and stressed.

They don't have my I-130 and I-129F either, granted I was approved a couple of days after both of you.

Mrs Rhoades can you please put up a timeline? I have no idea when you were approved! Otherwise no one has any idea about your case and limited in how we can help.

For I-129F, it doesn't stay at the NVC for long, maybe for a day or two before it's sent to the consulate so the Automated Voice line, whatever its called, usually will not have any messages regarding it. The NVC may not have the case but they should still be tell you whether or not they received it and when it was sent to the consulate and what the NVC case number for the K-3/I-129F is.

Good to see your timeline. You were approved a day ahead of me so I am expecting that your cases may have already been received by the NVC. You should definitely check tomorrow morning, speak to an operator there. But based on what I've seen from some of the people who've been approved before us, it should take them around 2-3 business days after approval for the NVC to receive the cases and assign case numbers.

I too expect to have my case number assigned tommorrow and duly hopeful you have it too.

Hi I was reading someones case from sep, 08. And they took almost 100 days at NVC with CR-l, I don't know If I want to wait that long also when It gets to your country, that takes 2 months so it could be next five months or less. If I have to pay extra money I don't mind at least I would be with my Husband while I am filling for other stuff in the US. Are you willing to take that risk???

I was told CR1 takes longer than K-3, so we wanted go with K-3. Even if there is one month difference between CR1 and K-3, I don't want to wait that long. I can continue to the process when i am with my husband. But also remember that some people complete NVC (for CR1) in a very short time-less than a month.

BTW I've called the consulate in my country Turkey, and they said they haven't received our K-3 yet. But the woman at the consulate gave me the new number of K-3 which starts with ANK. but still NVC operator says they don't have our K-3 yet, so probably your K-3 is forwarded to the consulate in your country too. You can also call your consulate to see if they receive your K-3. They are very helpful. She also said to me I don't need to wait for the Package 3.. We should start to fill out the forms on the embassy's website and collect the documents..Once the consulate receive our K-3, I can send all papers without waiting for the package..

Hi,

My husband and I decided that we were going to go with the K3, but the question is what do we do with the I-130??? Others have said that we are finished in the states if we decide to go k3. But I don't want to find out later that I did not fill our forms and that I had to pay additional fees in the states for I-130 and did not. help anyone????

If you truly want to do only K-3 then you do not have anything to worry about as far as I-130 is concerned. You just need to wait for the I-129F to reach the consulate. You would be advised to call the NVC only to find out your case number for the K-3. Then you call the Consulate to find out if they received your case and when they mailed Packet 3. Then you just follow the Consulate's directions.

Yes. We are going with K-3 too. As far as I know we don't need to do anything for CR1. I've started to assemble all the documents and forms. My husband is going to send me I-134 Affidavit of Support form (completed, signed and notarized) and other supplemental document (tax returns etc.)

According to the information that I got from the US Embassy in my country (Ankara, Turkey) I DON'T NEED TO WAIT FOR THE PACKAGE 3. Once they receive the K-3 file, I'll send all the documents to them. All forms are on their website, so you can get ready and once they receive your file you can send all the papers to the US consulate in your country..You don't have to wait to receive for the package 3... You can call the consulate in your country and ask.they are very helpful.

Now I am filling out the forms on the website and waiting my husband to send me the documents.. Please keep in touch here regarding the K-3 process..and share experiences.. Thanks to everyone here who helps eachother!!!
