I suggest you quit twisting around things I say, and let others learn from some of these lessons. After going through these things firsthand, I'll certainly be able to help someone else in a similar crisis in the future.

Life is nothing more than a learning experience, and of course, once we figure it out, we die.

You have no lessons to "teach" people here. People should follow the laws, and carry out their responsibilities as the husband or wife of an immigrant, and they will be fine.

This is an oxymoron. If you are legal, they can't put you in jail because you don't have papers on you. This is not a remote village in the middle of nowhere, it's the US.

If you are ILLEGAL, and don't have any documentation, then I could see why ICE could pick you up.

Yes, they can. You just have to prove after the fact that you are legal. A lot of that depends on the border patrol officer doing the arrest. My attorney said he worked another case where a guy was out of status from overstaying a visa, and ICE simply questioned him for an hour, and released him, but said they would follow up with him in 90 days to make sure he applied for his adjustment.

Things are getting much more strict, and a lot of it goes back to 9/11.

I've dealt with my problems for the day, thanks. Now, I'm relaxing, and answering posts in my spare time at 10pm at night. Exactly the same as you! Wow, maybe you should go take your own advice?

You want mods to shut this down? Why, because you continually come into my threads and flame me and twist my words around? Well, they have alternate methods, such as deleting posts, and giving users warnings for inappropriate behavior, as well. If you don't like me, that is fine, and I will gladly accept that. You left out two forms of punctuation in your second sentence. The correct structure is as follows: "The appropriate word is converse; or just [plainly], "we [communicated with] each other."

Come on--add something constructive. You'll get no where bashing my spelling. I'm sure we've all mispelled many words on here--especially with only a minute to proofread and edit.

wow:valsu,just a word of advice here.Try not to pay so much attention to everything that someone says.Think about what you are trying to achieve here? Maybe your wife will still have issues on her return.Therefore, you are gonna have to try and ignore some of the hurtful things she may have to say? If you are not able to ignore a few hurtful words from someone that you have never met/likely to meet;how are you going to be able to cope with what your wife may have to say to your face? If you go head to head with her in her depressive state;that will only push her back,which will cause even more issues or even cause her to harm herself.

Like the man in the orthopedic shoes said, I stand corrected. I've got to go call my kids and conversate with them about my mistake! Irregardless of how I feel about this word, I need to orientate them on the correct uses of conversate! Ya'll have a great day!
