I have read that this is the habit at VSC and it may be possible the I-130 NOA1 can be used

as a guide for the date of approval, but when I look at my timeline, the approval date for my

I-130 submitted one month before the K-3 is May while the approval date for the K-3 is April.

Does this mean that because I submitteb the K-3 I will wait even longer for them to be approved together?

We have been apart 7 months already and it is really difficult. We are missing so much of life together.

when you submitted the 129f, you asked uscis to process your petition as a k3. I think it is safe to say that most everyone's 130 and 129f are within a month of eachother. they will probably approve them at the same time, the difference will be time spent at nvc and interview scheduling times at the consulate.

i hope that helped :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

In my case I got the approval for 129F first and a week later the approval for I-130 came... I suggest you go for I-130 petitions IR/CR1... it's better than K3... In IR/CR1 he/she could right away get SS# and EAD card... I don't know the process though, but you could ask the member who went to that process. Goodluck and be patient...

Both VSC and CSC put the two petitions together and if both are approvable without RFE etc. then both will be approved on the same day. The VJ timeline projections don't take that into account. They are just estimates. Expect approval the same day for both, as long as no problems.
