Our interview is up tomorrow. We have so much material to take there that we need a truck to carry everything from pictures, to copies of copies of copies, etc :D. We are hoping that it is a smooth one.

Just wanted to shared that with you. I will post again tomorrow night.

11-02-2005 - 2nd "Touched" for EAD

11-09-2005 - Got AOS Biometric letter for November 22nd.

01-19-2006 - 90 Days passed - Infopass Visit to inquiry about Biometrics

01-23-2006 - EAD Approved !!

01-28-2006 - EAD Card received!!

07-17-2006 - Received Welcome letter. Now waiting for GC.

07-24-2006 - GREEN CARD IN OUR HANDS!! We are done for now!!

Good luck!

I had also a lot a lot of paperwork and we had such a demanding officer that

she asked for almost everything!!!

So my folders were light when we left since she took almost everything!!!

December 27, 2005 - EAD, AP, AOS mailed

January 4, 2006 - received in Chicago

January 27, 2006 - RFE for medical received

February 13, 2006 - Medical received

February 15, 2006 - Biometrics appointment at 10 am

March 1, 2006 - AP touched

March 4, 2006 - AP received

March 8, 2006 - EAD received

March 29, 2006 - interview notice received - May 31, 2006

May 31, 2006 - Successful interview!!! Approved

June 12, 2006 - Green card received

Feb 28, 2008 - will be sending removal of conditions docs.

You should have no problems - we used very little stuff and they were only interested in about 10 pieces of documents - bank statements; health insurance; dental insurance; visa card; medical bills etc. He didn't even look at a single picture! Good Luck

2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.

Yay Garden City! :dance:

Some advice from my experience:

1) Arrive early, you might have to wait in line outside for a bit. The line might look long but it moves fairly quickly.

2) Sit near to the door that you enter into the big room. A lady comes through the door and calls out names..yes calls them out..no microphone or anything... and then you go upstairs. That's the way it was in March..not sure if things have changed or not.

3) It's a long walk from the train station to USCIS if you take LIRR...take a cab.

4) Don't let the many lawyers in the room rehearsing with their clients make you nervous....it's actually quite funny listening to them...hehe.

That's all I have to add. My interview was great. The guy was nice. He was pretty much telling me about how to remove conditions on my greencard before we had even sat down and gave him the income info and relationship evidence.
