Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On December 11, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Just yesterday, the online notice said that the card would arrive in 30 days. This morning it says what I posted above. Also what does it mean by, your new permanent resident card should be mailed in 60 days following this registration, or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the new welcome notice, which is later?

What does the ADIT process mean?

Any info. would be appreciated.

Not sure what the ADIT process is but the notice they mailed you should be your actual greencard on its way...

My guess would be "additional".

or

Is it in all caps like in your post? If so, then I'd guess it's one of their abbreviations & you won't find out what exactly it means until you get the welcome notice.

Was searching online and read that "ADIT PROCESSING" is just them taking fingerprints, pics after...If you've already done this within the last 15 months then ignore the message...(found it on a message board on yahoo: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...03121819AAmAZ5w )
