The x-ray is now in CD format and will be be included in her visa packet. When I entered LA this week as my POE, my x-ray cd was returned to me. But I've heard before that x-rays were always returned at POEs. :)

my wife's POe was SFO. she was not asked for the x ray. I do not recall anyone posting they were asked for X ray at SFO. I would suggest putting in her luggage where she would have easy access if she should be asked for the x ray. if it would make her more comfortable, then put it in hand carry.

Nowadays, X-ray comes in CD form not in film... it is included in the visa packet for POE.

My POE October last year was SFO and the immigration officer did ask for my x-ray film. Good I had it inside the box of my wedding gown that I hand carried. I guess I was not as lucky but no big deal. I spent less than 5 minutes with her and had no problems with my papers. She just verified that the name on the X-ray envelope was mine, didn't even open it.

Since, it is now in CD together with the brown envelope, it makes things easier :) Kudos to the US EMbassy for this new innovation.

I can't understand why a POE officer would want to look at an x-ray. There is no requirement for it and what would they do with it anyway?

We did use Claudeth's when we did the civil surgeon visit. He wanted to charge us $70 to do an x-ray so I gave him the one from St. Lukes so from time to time they do come in handy.
