I'm a July Filer for my K-3 ( NOA1 July 29th) . My NOA1 for my I-130 is June 23rd. I never got touched for the K-3 and only one touch on Oct 2nd for my I-130. I'm disgusted at this system they have.

I talked with my immigration attorney last night. I asked him if I will cause any problems with my case if I call and bug them. He said no, but you attract more bees with honey. He told me to be nice. He also told me to CALL my congressman not to write. It is more effective. He told me that VSC is like one big warehouse and it is almost impossible to find out if my case is on someones desk.

This girl I know is married to a guy from Guatemala. He was asked to leave the country due to several drug charges, domestic violence charges and a few DUI's. He never had papers when he was here before. He was Illegal. He left when they asked him to leave as an alternative to deportation. She filed an I-130. ( no K-3) and he was approved to re-enter the country. They already had an interview. It was here not in Guatemala and he didn't attend. They are almost finished the process.. anyway, she heard nothing for the longest time.... She called to bug them and the very next day she had an approval AND an interview date. I was so surprised that he got approved with all those criminal offenses. There is hope for all of us. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS WEEK ! We all can use a little Christmas magic !!!

I just called my local congress woman !! I filled out the privacy release form and I faxed it back. They told me they will make an inquiry on my cases. I hope they can tell me something !!

The I-129F filing date seems irrelevant at VSC because they seem to treat the I-130 and I-129F as a single entity and process them in the order of I-130 filing date. A number of people who got approved recently filed their I-130 in March and I-129F a few months later (one even as late as August). So the bad news that even the estimated I-129F approval dates as per VJ timelines is optimistic.

I don't mean to be a spoilsport but if you are a July/August I-129F filer and the gap between your I-130 and I-129F is one month or less, you could be waiting at least 3-4 months. So it is still a little premature to be getting anxious for approval They haven't even begun working on the April I-130/May I-129F applications and so there is still a long way to go ...

Of course like everyone else I am hoping that VSC picks up the pace and rapidly clears the backlog but it is a case of hoping for the best and being prepared for the worst.

Yes, I wish I had filed a stand alone I-130 now. So much for the stupid K-3. I am totally mad about this! I wanted to have to wait 6 mos for my NOA2 not a century. This ticks me off that VSC is so darn slow. I feel bad for all the long lurkers here but in my case I have been married 2 years and I am in a situation as to where if he is not here soon I will lose my house. I can't afford to rent from any other landlord so if I lose this house-when he finally does get here ("if" he does that is)...we will be homeless and have to live with my parents. UGH! To top it off at the embassies I am seeing lots of AP and lots of denials. This alone is very upsetting news to me and I am on pins and needles here. Got terrible insomnia and need to check myself into a mental hospital. I am going insane over here! This is is not right that we have to wait so long. I want to start a family and can't even do that. Is this justice? I want to get a petition together and send it to USCIS in Washington and VSC. Who is willing to join me and sign it? If anyone is interested in writing it up and then all of can electronically sign it on here then we can all print it out and then mail it with our case #'s attached. Who's up for the challenge?
