I picked up some virus while in the Philippines, which caused several boils to erupt over many parts of my body, both while in the Philippines and after I returned, and they got so bad that they caused some serious blood poisening. I hadn't felt so sick and helpless since I had the flu as a child.

Sounds like it was possibly dengue fever. It is not uncommon in the Philippines and it is quite scary.

Thanks again friends and well-wishers. It's just about a month until I go back. I had a bit of a scare the past few days, as Fely had been out of touch with me for 2 days, which doesn't happen. She finally managed to get a text message to me yesterday, saying the recent Typhoon knocked out her power and she wasn't able to charge her cell phone.
