Maset, congrats on passing the interview!

Good info! Isn't it great to have friends in certain places. I'm glad we could all benefit. I'll put "3 weeks" in my head and not worry about it until then.

I thought I wouldn't worry about it for 3 weeks, but that was easy to say when I was heading to Jamaica the next day. Now that I'm back, it's back to waiting for this darn NOA2. I'm gonna draft the note to my Senator to send if/when the waiting gets to be too rough.

So the long wait is over. We thought VSC passed us by for our 129f. They seemed to have passed us by while processing people even into February. But finally in to days mail, dated 5-18-2009 approval. YAY....

We are on Igor's list, but how do I update timeline? I tried to figure it out but couldn't, so its says we are still waiting and I want others to know that even if they have been waiting, don't give up, eventually they will remember your file.... Took 5 and a half months.....

Yeah Nat, I know what you mean....I felt that way after visiting my SO, now it's depression again :( But seeing a December filer is great, I would really be hopeful if I saw a late Dec filer, but I'm just trying to not get ANY hopes up b/c they've been let down so many times already.

1.) I figured out how to update timeline. Thanx.

2.) Actually yeserday I got a "letter" saying it was approved and would be sent to embassy.

Today, I got the I-797 or whatever, and it was dated the 13th...

3.) They never sent me an email, even though I have been through this with the same person last year and have been a "member" of the USCIS wesbite for a long time. Last year I filed at CSC and got the email, this year at VSC it took twice as long and still no email and no update to the webpage...

(For those who are curious, we had an omission in the original documents and were advised to refile to avoid complications at the interview)

Peace to all, looks like the wheels are finally turning.... Those still waiting, it will show up! Just keep on skying, loving and waiting.... it's all good in the end.

(And to think I have lasted through this twice! LOL)

Congratulations, Dalyn! Excellent news.

BL2B, thanks.

I faxed one of my Senators today. No one answered the phone when I called, so I'll try again in 20 minutes. I hope to catch them early enough so that they can put in a query with VSC today instead of Tuesday.

The rep in my Senator's office verified that they received my fax and said that their backlog is about 10 days for immigration cases, so that's when they expect to check the status with USCIS for me. They'll then mail me a letter letting me know they inquired. He said that USCIS takes up to 30 days to get back with them. However, I can call and check on the status at any time.

yaaay! congrats! im from the philippines too, maybe your SO can now call the call center for interview appointment. that's what my friend did when they got the NOA2 even without the letter from Manila US Embassy yet. If only I have known that I can do that even without the letter (I waited for another month for the letter), im probably done this month. anyway, Good luck and God bless!
