SO! I get home from work and check the mail and to my EXTREME delight, I had a letter from USCIS! I started jumping around and screaming!:D:dance: I was SO HAPPY about FINALLY receiving my NOA2.

I opened it, and it was merely a notice that they received my change of address.:( No touch on the website either.

Ahhh - you had me going, too!! That's weak sauce, but I know your approval won't be long. I think our change of address may have been what got our forms into some people's hands and led to our approval. Here's to hoping that the technique works for you as well!!

Nice!! Congratulations!!

BTW - Have your ever heard of/read 'Infinite Jest?' I just thought of it because its plot is based on a future Quebec and it's really hysterical. I definitely recommend picking it up. Its a modern classic. The only problem is that it is super huge; I used it to help pass the time during this process, actually. I picked it up back in December and just finished it by mid-April.

That was the goal! My address change was to switch the letter/number for my apartment. So instead of, say, A2, I changed it to say 2A. Very minor, but I'm hoping that it forces them to find the paperwork.

Congrats Ms Dina Dee! As far as the filling out more paperwork for AOS, I'm gonna get started on that as soon as I get back from next week's trip to Jamaica. I figure, may as well use our time apart to fill out that paperwork, so when we're together we can have our time for... other things.

So I called my congressman since it's been a week and a half since I contacted them. They said they have not gotten an answer back yet from the USCIS. How long does it usually take for the senator/congressman to get an answer back?

I haven't tried that yet. You might ask in the 6+ months thread. You KNOW that many in there probably contacted their representatives.

My senator received an answer back in 48 hours. It didn't say much though... just that my case had been assigned to an adjudication officer.
