unreal....all those laste Jan approvals today and still not a single Dec 29 approval!!! This really stinks and there is something obviously wrong. Well I'm not going to call every day and get into trouble but I will call them once in a while and mention what I've seen here. :crying:

What do you mean by 'get into trouble'? Who do you even call? Cereza, did you get a person when you called this morning? Or does a recording tell you you're within the 6 month processing time?

Nat, I spoke to someone, never got a recording....and I went off on how unfair their system is because I am still waiting and people from FEBRUARY are being approved! I am gonna call again today and tell them that they need to send a sticky note, an email, a ticket # or SOMETHING to the CO handling Dec. 29th cases because their answers are just not good enough! I'm sorry yours took so long Noura.

Cereza, we're probably both stuck at the bottom of the pile now after our phone calls. I commented on how unfair their system was as well and that clearly they don't operate in the manner they say they do (i.e., the order in which they are received) if I filed in november and people in January and February are getting approved!

I've got my senator involved as well, but it seems they get the same run around we do...

Wow Jenn & Nick. Some people have really great senators and others don't. Today someone was telling me that their senator calls them every month to check up on how things are going with their process. But keep bugging them, because your case is way over due. I saw that happen at the end of November, and I was scared that it was going to happen to the end of December, and it looks like it might be.

Senators can get results-bug them again. I have heard of them getting results for people less than 6 months away. So try.

My Senator is trying... they've contacted them on 3 separate occassions... it is just that I've seen no result on VSC's end. It is incredibly annoying and as happy as I am for people getting their approvals... it is getting harder and harder to see people that filed a full 2 months after me get approved while my case sits untouched! Wishing you luck... hopefully you won't be as unlucky as me!

I'm going to be one of those people most don't like but it needs to be said.

Yes, the system has flaws. However, we do have to keep in mind it is a logistical nightmare to do their job. Could you imagine how slow the system would be as a whole if they couldn't issue approvals as they arrive or an adjudicator couldn't start work because his coworkers were still working on later files. Does any of this make sense? I imagine they do process cases as they are received BUT every case is different and every circumstance is different. You may think it is cut and dry and it could very well not be.

Now, that said I'm not one of those people that says this after they get approved. My petition has gone missing, it's been sent to wrong consulates, anything that could have gone wrong with our case short of an RFE has. But yet, I didn't call USCIS once when they didn't cash my cheque. I gave them time and refiled. NVC on the other hand..thats a whole different can of worms...

Long story short, I'm sorry your petitions have gone unnoticed for so long and as much as we'd like to think its a customer service oriented industry it isn't. What they put us through is for a reason and pretty damn good one at that. In fact, I hope the Government of Canada is this thorough as well.

I-751 file: 11/07/11

NOA1 date: 11/10/11

Biometrics: 11/30/11

Approval: 08/17/12

Hold what you got and maintain.

I understand what you are saying Beans, but what I don't understand is that if someone is a full 2 months behind someone else because they received more cases or more difficult cases, then one would think they could redistribute the workload. I've noticed a trend with VSC and it seems that they hit approximately 60-70% for a particular month and then move on to the next month. It is incredibly disheartening to be one of the ones that is stuck and not be able to get any update on your case. I think if the process was more transparent, it would be easier to accept; however, it is impossible to get any updates on petitions.

I am sorry to hear of your problems and am sure it is frustrating for you as well.

My complaint isn't necessarily with how long it's taking. If my petition were touched and I knew someone had it in their stack to work, I'd have no (well, very little) problem waiting.

My concern is that the box with my petition is misplaced. For example, if someone grabbed the box & brought it home & forgot about it, or someone has it in their desk and then went on vacation... or whatever else.

I understand your comment, beans, about glad the government is thorough. But sitting on files isn't being thorough. Did you see the Q&A with the Adjudicator on the Guides page? Our files sit in boxes for months. But once someone picks it up, they approve it in 15 minutes. Rarely does the adjudicator deny a petition at this stage of the game. The thoroughness comes in later in the process (NVC/embassy). This is just the first part to make sure you have all your paperwork in order.

I think he hit the nail on the head and also we all have our own special needs so to skip us just because our case may take a little longer is not an excuse. BTW - NO Dec 29 filers have been approved...this is what concerns me the most.

i got noa1 12/06/08, havent been touched yet. should i be worried? the uscis says they are processing I129-F's in 6 months.

Welcome to the forums! As far as being worried, I'd say you shouldn't. Nothing good comes from worrying & it can raise your blood pressure & put you in a bad mood. Even knowing all that, though, it can be tough to not worry. You are the 4th person who filed in December who has not received NOA2 to participate in this thread. I hope we all get approved ASAP!

Count me as the 5th December filer who has no touches, no NOA2.....nothing. It is so hard to have a positive attitude and outlook when you see petitions filed in JANUARY getting approvals while we PATIENT December filers envision our petitions sitting on some dusty shelf stuck in the STUPID Vermont centers closet. Feel like a mouse in a maze in some horrible college psych class trying to find the correct path to the cheese. I have never felt so utterly helpless. My fear is that something is wrong with my petition and the Email notification is not working and an RFE has been lost in the other useless government entity the USPS. I am patient for 1 more week then phones are going to ring in D.C. Sorry for the rant.................

It's not a logisitical nightmare to make sure all of us mail in our taxes on the 15th of April, or the other million things that the government does by dates that if we don't comply with on time we get fees for. They are efficient with the things they want to be with....millions of Americans have to hand in their taxes on a certain date, why can't the government get the visas down pack for a way less quantity of transactions? I don't care that it's 2 different departments....they can do what ever they put as a priority
